So sorry to hear about your eye problems. I hope this course of action helps. In the meantime though, I do think you should participate in any and all controversy! It's been too long since we've had a really good hair flip! We need an epic hair flip...a la Nurse Kitty style.

Does that mean I would have to hang testicles from the back of my minivan like her best pal Brandi? I'm not sure I'm hot enough to do a good Nurse Kitty.

I sure hope the steroids do what they're supposed to do to help your eyes. Best wishes for a good outcome!

Trying to keep my eyesight - otherwise you all might be deprived of my "pearls of wisdom" - hahaha! The steroids will hopefully stop my body from doing its best to do away with my eyes, and then we can look at surgery. It could be much worse - I only feel really rotten on the steroids. My eyes, on the other hand, look something like Frank McCourt's a la Angela's Ashes (for those who have read the book, you'll know what I mean). Wow!! I hope the steroids do what you need them to do. We will forgive your filter if needed for the next 2.5 months. Then, after that, all bets are off. LOL But seriously, I am sending good thoughts your way for your eyes to heal.

Thanks for all the well wishes and laughs, everyone. This was a much better Tuesday night than last one! (((Hugs))) I've taken my first Lunesta and since I have to get up at 5:30 to get the boys off, I should turn in now and see if I can actually sleep. Good night and sweet dreams, all.

Hey, you're not alone. BTDT. IV steroids did 2 things to me: First, I had an insatiable appetite. Then I was a raging b*tch. Though the side effects are nasty they are doing a lot of good things for your body. So, it's probably worth the price of admission. Maybe this is a good time for you to start all of the vent threads!

I had no idea. This sounds seriously unpleasant, so I hope the treatment is hugely successful. In the meanwhile, when you get bored with the fluff threads and wish to put some of that other energy to good use, let me know if you are available to comprehensively and coherently tell off some former "friends" who have turned out to be thieves

OK...I must have missed it...what are you taking the steroids for??? Severe TED - thyroid eye disease. It goes hand in hand with Graves Disease - which I have. Your immune system attacks your thyroid and the tissue around your eyes thinking they are the enemy. They (the docs) killed my thyroid with radiated iodine, but my body has gone into overdrive attacking my eyes now. It is rare that it happens to this degree. The muscles around them are so swollen that they are displaced and I have double vision if I look anywhere but straight ahead. My eyes are red and weep constantly. Quite a lovely mess. If it gets any worse, the inflamed eye muscles will compress my optic nerves causing me to lose sight. Once they get the attack to stop, I will probably have a series of surgeries to get my eyes back in place - which will involve removing bone from my eye sockets to make room for the extra muscle and fat resulting from the attack. It is fairly gross to think about, so I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Bet you wish you didn't ask, huh?? Oh dear...no I am glad I asked...I learn something new every day here~~ Praying that the steroids help

Best of luck! My DH husband was on steroids (for an eye tumor) for three LONG years and it was awful. It made him feel like crap...all the symptoms you mentioned, plus more! It wasn't a picnic for me either. It's a wonder drug, but boy oh boy, can it change a person's personality!
However, don't let a little thing like a real foul mood keep you from entertaining us! We need you. I always enjoy your posts...ill humor, good humor, bring it on.

Laugh at me! I am the dumb ass here. Falling 3x. Breaking 2 bones not just one. I am getting good at making the sign showing a "quarter-sized amount" not the OK sign as I don't have that much flexibility with my fingers. Confusing? I have only 2 fingers showing. The rest are hidden.

I hope your treatments have minimum side effects, and fantastic treatment effects.
I know there's so much research going on in various auto-immune disorders. I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I can only imagine how those steroids must make you feel. Hopefully, the treatment works, though, and your eyes are OK.

I don't believe in vaccinations and Deflategate was just a bunch of jealous people hating on the Patriots. Just seeing if I can tempt you. But in all seriousness I hope the treatment works, you get positive results, and you feel some relief soon. p.s. When my daughter had a burst ear drum and had some blood trickle out of her ear, I joked that I could say that she heard something that literally made her ears bleed. With red and weepy eyes, you should use that to your full advantage.

I hope you feel better soon. If I were you, I'd take the opportunity of no filter to tell off some people that completely deserve it. Oh, sorry, I'm not myself these days, I don't know what got into me... I do hope and pray that the steroids work and that your eyes heal quickly. I also hope that you don't need a lot of surgeries. I'm so sorry you're going through this.
