These IV steroids are making me crazy. Every Tuesday for 10 more weeks. They make me emotional, grouchy, wired, and worse for the first 48 hours. I am making a pledge to stay off of controversial threads Tuesday thru Thursday evenings, otherwise my internal filter doesn't function very well - just ask my husband. Here's to lots of fluff threads!

Hahahaha! I know last Tuesday night was amusing to see me swear online, but I'm "trying" to be good tonight. It is going to be a long 2.5 months... I'm sorry! I promise to try to embarrass myself in other ways.

Okay. But only because you don't need the additional stress while you're trying to recover. Hopefully the steroids and crazy will pay off before the ten weeks is up and you'll feel back to your old self posting on every controversial thread there is!

I'm at my best when I'm PMS, drunk, or on steroids… or best yet… All three!

Trying to keep my eyesight - otherwise you all might be deprived of my "pearls of wisdom" - hahaha! The steroids will hopefully stop my body from doing its best to do away with my eyes, and then we can look at surgery.
It could be much worse - I only feel really rotten on the steroids. My eyes, on the other hand, look something like Frank McCourt's a la Angela's Ashes (for those who have read the book, you'll know what I mean).

You are doing an awesome job being upbeat about it!

I am glad side effects are better overall on the IV steroids than on oral. I wouldn't want to trade places with you - hopeful you have an understanding family. Feel free to rage at me any time you want to.

Sounds like a challenge to me Let's see.....politics? Sahm vs wohm? Breast vs bottle? Kitten heels vs slippers? Crockpot meals vs uncrustables? Last Tuesday night it was wedding cake! It you you want to,get me started, you could always start a "I'm certain vaccines caused my neighbor's cousin's kid to have Autism. It was either that or her piss poor parenting." I'm certain I couldn't hold back.

OK...I must have missed it...what are you taking the steroids for??? Severe TED - thyroid eye disease. It goes hand in hand with Graves Disease - which I have. Your immune system attacks your thyroid and the tissue around your eyes thinking they are the enemy. They (the docs) killed my thyroid with radiated iodine, but my body has gone into overdrive attacking my eyes now. It is rare that it happens to this degree. The muscles around them are so swollen that they are displaced and I have double vision if I look anywhere but straight ahead. My eyes are red and weep constantly. Quite a lovely mess. If it gets any worse, the inflamed eye muscles will compress my optic nerves causing me to lose sight. Once they get the attack to stop, I will probably have a series of surgeries to get my eyes back in place - which will involve removing bone from my eye sockets to make room for the extra muscle and fat resulting from the attack. It is fairly gross to think about, so I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Bet you wish you didn't ask, huh??

elaine, here's a warning -> don't open the bean thread! LOL! I hope all goes well for you. I stuck my fingers in my ears for that one saying "la, la, la! I caaaaaan't hear you!" and managed a fluff response. Because I love beans and couldn't let them go on being slandered! LOL.

elaine - big hug and P&PTs for you! In the meantime, I vote for making an anonymous account and letting it roll!! Perhaps it will provide some stress relief, which can be medically helpful, I've heard.....
