Well, dh has decided that we need to save money so he told me to scrounge in the freezer for something to eat tonight I don't know if you know this but I'm a SAHM who shops the grocery store everyday ... I don't have a lot of stuff in the freezer ... it looks like we're having grilled hot dogs and caesar salad since that's about all I could find I don't love hot dogs so I'm not super-excited What's cookin' at your house tonight?

Tacos with nacho cheese flavored shells. Kinda like Taco Bell's Doritos ones, but not. And corn.

Last week this was such a hit at our house I'm making it again, Sopa de Habas (fava bean soup, which I doctored up a bit adding chicken, lemon juice and white beans). I think we'll have it with cornbread and I might sautee some kale too.

Since the boy decided at the last minute last night to go to his dads, I ended up shelving the spaghetti idea-but I had already cooked the ground turkey (I used ground turkey in everything) which means I am going to make the plain, old, boring spaghetti tonight. I am starving right now though-so I just made microwave popcorn for a snack. Healthy, right?

Easy, peasy spaghetti tonight. I don't feel like cooking at home, but DH and I are trying to save money and calories and time, so at home it is

Baseball tonight at 5!!! So I've got BBQ chicken in the crock pot for sliders. I'm not sure what the sides are yet. Maybe coleslaw, cut up veggies, fruit.

I picked up a rotisserie chicken at Costco and maybe we'll have frozen vegetables with it. I need to NOT be spending any unnecessary time in the kitchen. I'm trying to get packed up for a trip to Texas tomorrow for my niece's wedding and I'm way behind schedule. As usual. Don't expect to see much of me until next week.

DH asked last night if he could bring a friend of ours in town on business over tonight and I said "sure". This morning I realized DD & I have an event at her school and DS has soccer, leaving DH & friend to heat up last night's pasta with tomato/spinach/ground turkey sauce. DH's plans changed to going out to dinner with his friend and the rest of us will grab what we can.

Last night's baseball game was moved to today and dh plays softball tonight, so he stopped and picked up fast food and when DS and I got home, I made skinless smoked sausages on buns for us, along with some salads I bought on Sunday.

It was cold and dreary here today, so DH (my housewife) says soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. YAY!
The only thing that would be better is if were soup and bacon sandwiches, but it's our no meat day. Sadly, he doesn't buy it when I try to tell him bacon is it's own food group and not meat!

We had meatball "subs" on whole wheat hot dog rolls. I call them subs but don't like the calories of sub rolls. LOL So I get the whole wheat hot dog rolls. And we had chips with it. The girls have soccer practice tonight so I needed something quick and easy.
