Went to Costco today, so we're having their flautas. I don't remember which Pea recommended them, but they're a favorite w/me & my younger son. Slight hijack . . . I can't decide if I'm a little jealous or a lot relieved: this is the first year in more than a decade that our menu is not controlled by baseball games, lol. This is my ds' 13th year of playing baseball. Dh and I are not sure what we will do when he graduates next year! We have met so many wonderful friends and terrific kids throughout his "career", we will miss all those days and nights at the ball diamond. Now that ds drives, i can leave when the game is over and go home to start dinner, so the dinner thing is much better this year than in the past! As hectic as it has been, I wouldn't trade a moment of it for anything!

I'm having dinner with the girls at a new restaurant in town. It's "California Fare with a nod to Italy".

It's been a long day today. My DH has pneumonia and I had a grueling/painful PT session today. He had leftover goulash and I had chips, ranch and salsa from the Mexican restaurant our granddaughter works at!

grammanisi Is ranch a dip? I have Paul Newman's ranch dressing in the fridge and love it. It tastes a bit like our tartar sauce imo.

Yes, it is a homemade ranch dip similar to Hidden Valley Ranch. It is delicious mixed with the salsa!
