Hey Survivors! Well, I'm out of the pool ... I knew Joe would be a gonner At least there is the rumour that he might be back in another season I really have no one that I'm super-excited about winning ... I guess I kind of like Shirin because she is a "super-fan" but she isn't well liked by the other players so I don't think she has a chance Here's what my DVR says tonight: "Bring the Popcorn" An advantage gives a castaway a game-changing opportunity; a castaway's integrity is called into question. Who's watching?

I'm still watching but not loving any of the remaining players too much - they're all kind of boring or too annoying

i am in! i have rodney in the pool so it has been interesting to see him go from absolutely awful to somewhat goofy... maybe i still stand a small chance? i like shirin too... i think she is trying so hard and doesn't get why people don't get her. i wondered if that is why joe selected her for that reward - she didn't believe anyone would pick her.

I wish I liked Will – I JUST saw the video of them singing with his wife at the gas pump, and it was so funny! He has such a good singing voice, and he was really, really funny!
But I don't like him in this game. Because he's a bump on a log. He's not funny, he doesn't show his personality, he doesn't do well in challenges, he's not trying to strategize at all… Unless doing nothing is his strategy…
I've got no one to cheer for. I'm not sure I've ever been in the situation. I don't know what to do!

Watching and I have to say ugh these people are so stupid I can never understand why they share a reward that is meant just for them ie Will tonight hello really do you think ppl are going to remember you shared your trail mix ugh you aren't there to make friends!
Mike I would have not taken the love note ugh again if I was playing I would hope my family would want me to do whatever it took to win the million and not worry about your supposed integrity sorry but I guess I see the game differently then some apparently lol.
Oh and I can't stand Dan or Rodney ugh! Dan is so annoying you ruined my letter from home and ugh Rodney acts like he is on a steroid anger/mood fit lol.

Ugh Will you moron like I said earlier why would you share your reward! You shared it and what happened they turned on you lol!
I totally think Will is out of line doing a personal attack like he did that was so uncalled for. I loved the karma of Shirren voting against Will having a love letter.
So funny when Jen cheered for Mike and then made a comment about the others not congratulating him haha.

So sorry to have to pick Mike as the person I like best now that Joe is gone. At least he defended Shirin while everyone else just sat there enjoying the fight. Will was way way out of line, and I feel like Jeff should have told him so at tribal.
I did enjoy the new twists at the auction. That is always one of my favorite episodes, but the last few have been dull, with everyone sitting on their money waiting for the advantage.

I cannot stand Mike!!!!! I think tonight he showed his true colors. He wanted that advantage, and the only reason he ended up taking a love letter was because he knew how bad it would make him look if he didn't. He said it would go against his character – BS! Also, he was only cozying up to Shirin because she's the only ally he has left. HE is the one that started the rumors about will having more food then he shared, not Shirin. Yet nobody blames him…
Yes, will had no business personally attacking Shirin like he did--it was brutal. I would imagine that it really hurt that he shared his reward Just to have everyone turn on him.
This was an intense episode!

The only two people I would care to see win are Mike and Shiren.
Mike is a really good player but he let some things get to him and made some big mistakes that have hurt him. He was right to note that Rodney's four are tight and that they are out to get him. But he should have went to Dan privately about it. He did not come out well in that confrontation.
Then, at the auction, he messed up again when he tried to back out of the letter thing. Now his friends don't trust him. And can someone please tell me what the hell that giant drink thing was that Jenn won?
I totally get why some people were suspicious about Will and the food. His reaction was out of control though. It's survivor dumbass, people lie, sneak and hide all the time. Get off your high horse with all that righteous indignation. You showed them the cooler chest and that should be that. And instead of taking all the doubters to task, he chose ONE to pick on. And of course it was the weakest, easiest one, the one that is already the outsider. He looked like a big ol' bully, especially when he would not stop AND made it so personal. What a jackass!
Even though I would not have voted for him mot to get the letters (basically for strategic reasons) I kind of liked it when she did. He didn't deserve her vote and he didn't deserve the letters.
I loved that Mike won immunity. I really hoped he could sway over Dan and Sierra (who are kind of idiots) but it was a no go and Jenn went home. Will looked like an idiot at TC. He said he didn't verbally attack Shiren, uh, yes you did. He said that it was FACT that Shiren has no soul, no family, and no one likes her. Jerk, jerk, jerk. I really hope others can't stand him as much as I me. I want him to get an earful when gets out.

So Mike and Shiren voted for Jenn so there wouldn't be a split and a re-vote, guaranteeing that Shiren wouldn't be voted out?
I agree that Dan and Sierra just screwed themselves by not breaking up Rodney, etc. Can't stand Dan, but dislike Rodney even more. Will is a bully.

Here they are for those who are interested: Jenn's Ponderosa footageDalton's recapJeff's Q&AOne thing that was really crazy, Jenn thought she GAINED weight during her time of Survivor. I think most of the people left are going to be embarrassed when this season is over to see how they behaved...and I doubt there's going to be any long term friendships made. I was quite disgusted with Jen as well, she stirred up the food issue and then sat back and said nothing when it hit the fan. I like to think at least I would have had the integrity to say "hey don't take it out just on her, there were a few of us questioning you" I'm not a fan of Shiren either, but I think it was appropriate payback for her to vote against Will not getting that letter. If he'd screamed at me like that I would have done the same thing.
I was also disappointed to see Tyler guy go through Dan's bag next week...they should have a rule that contests can't go into another person's belongings without permission. I think that's a pretty low act and I know where my two votes would go after that.
No-one left is likeable, I think the final vote won't be for who they want to win, it will be based on who they don't want to win, and the least offensive person will end up with the $1M.

How is it no one has figured out what a trouble maker Tyler is? Talk about a shit stirrer! Twice now, he has gone to Will and told him something he 'heard' and Will freaks. He is a puppet master. And apparently, he does it next week too - going through Dan's bag! I want to respect his underhandedness, but I just find him sleazy. I want him to go. Right after Will. Seriously Will, you idiot. Tyler tells you something and not only do you believe it, but it never occurs to you that Tyler doesn't just overhear things and that he might actually be part of the conversation? Hello? And way to go - let's not call out the person who actually questioned how much food you had (Jen), but personally attack someone else. Nice. Like I said, can't wait for him to go. I am going to guess that due to editing, we aren't seeing that Shririn is the devil himself. That's the only explanation for no one except Mike telling Will to back off. The things he said to her were truly awful, unrelated to the game and uncalled for. And they all sat there and watched. Terrible. Shame on you too, Jeff. Dan & Sierra, wake the hell up. You are not part of six. You will be the next to go after Mike & Shirin. And what's up w/going thru Dan's bag?! I didn't like that last season and I am not liking it now. Especially because it's not like Dan is hiding something he should be sharing. He paid a lot of money for that advantage, so NO ONE else has a right to it. Just wrong. If we're talking about hiding things, let's discuss Mama C's (HATE that name) idol. Really hating Tyler right now. Yeah, pretty much sick of everyone except Shirin. Ironically, I didn't like her in the beginning so go figure. ETA: Looks like pjaye & I were typing at the same time. I forgot to add that I agree w/Shirin about Will & the letter from home. Even if he hadn't attacked her, he bid on & won his item so he doesn't get the letter from home. Similar things have happened plenty of times on Survivor. That's the way it goes.

I don't like any of them. I didn't think I could like Will any less than I have in previous weeks (IMO he provides absolutely no benefit to the tribe) but I was wrong.
I hate him. I don't particularly care for Shireen...but damn...the way he behaved and berated her on such a personal level was just ugly. There was absolutely no need for him to be that way and it truly showed who he is.
If he's praying before every meal and claiming to be such a Christian, I sure hope his pastor/minister counsels him after the show because he is just disgusting.
I don't know who I even want to win because there's very little "good" I can find in any of them left.

While last night was an explosive episode with lots happening, it still left a sour taste in my mouth. Will was so out of line that it wasn't even funny. There is no excuse for that kind of berating and then he came back with "Well, it was true." at tribal council. I don't think he scored any points with the jury for that either.
I was hoping that last night's tribal council would be the one where the blue collar + Carolyn and Tyler alliance finally crumbled. I guess it kind of did, but they still voted together/according to the plan. While we are being presented alternate scenarios each week, the most predictable person keeps being the one to go. If it follows this track, it will be Shirin next, but I really don't think they see her as a threat (as her friends keep joining the jury one by one), and Mike is next if he doesn't win immunity.

I agree with pretty much everything you wrote pjaye and tiffanytwisted. Will was aweful at camp and beyond disgusting at tribal and I am equally disgusted that others sat back watching. It was really hard to witness both tirades and makes me really want to see Shirin make it to the end. I hate seasons where we can see predict the vote out order and there are no big moves played. Tyler & Carolyn are quietly controlling things and I can't stand either of them. Mike put a giant target on his back this week and then they'll take out Rodney. The only question will be at which point they turn on each other and who they want to take to the end (and I don't see that as a blindside, just inevitable). I hope they make the mistake of "taking" Shirin because she has 3 votes on the jury right now and could end up with a few more depending on how betrayed the other jury members feel. Jenn's Ponderosa footage is interesting and she predicts Tyler will win and is taking Will and Rodney. I could see him taking Will but not Rodney.

I really hope others can't stand him as much as I me. I want him to get an earful when gets out. Jackie I'm quoting you this week because I agree with every word you've written above. What an intense episode! We start off right away with the food auction and this time there is a twist. At first I felt sorry for Will being kicked out of the food auction so early, but once he got that clue to dig and saw that stash of food and the powdered electrolytes I realized what a true advantage he'd unearthed (tee hee, couldn't resist). But Will being Will makes the worst decision possible and decides to share it with everyone. Will reminds me of jellyfish in the sea. He has no direction and floats along being unable to make decisions for himself. He does what everyone tells him to do-like a jellyfish moving along the currents at sea. Once he is forced to make a decision on his own he invariably makes the worst choice. Will is in a core alliance of 4-the best decision I think would have been for him to quietly share the information of that food stash with his core alliance. It would have put him in solidly with them and they would have gotten stronger for challenges (well not Will he sucks at challenges). As it was it ended up biting him in the butt anyway since he got accused of holding out on food. I thought his tirade on Shiren was very personal and disgusting-completely out of line. Poor Shiren. I felt so sorry for her and was really glad to see Mike come in and pull her away. I think Shiren was so devastated emotionally at that point due to her past that she had lost the ability to even get up and leave (just my guess). As far as everyone else standing around-I don't think they did it maliciously-I think they were just in shock. The fact that he kept it up at tribal showed the jury exactly who he is. I think that's why Jeff didn't step in. Lots of times I've read that he wants to stand back and let things play out so he doesn't ruin the integrity of the game. The jury needed to hear that. I do want to know what the heck was in that drink Jenn bid on and won and wish the editing had been better. I agree with Jackie and think Mike should have just held on and not spent his $20.00 on the letter. He already irked everyone by hesitating so why not hold steady and see it through? It would have won him that advantage Dave got (the two votes) which was so terrific (much better than just practising for that night's immunity challenge. What a huge advantage that was! I think Mike is a wonderful player-he spies on other players without getting caught hearing important information that helps him in the game but he needs to be more careful about who and when to share that information. I guess starving does play with your mind and might have had a bit to do with that-but if Mike had made better decisions on both instances (the letter buying and the sharing of info on Rodney's four) he might be in a much better position than he is now. As far as next's weeks preview and Tyler going through Dan's bag-yes I agree I want to like Tyler too but so far all I see is sleazy Tyler too. I too want to respect his underhandedness because it is great game play but I just don't like Tyler. I want to, but I can't. Right now I want Mike to win. He's playing a great game but has a huge target on his back. I hope he can pull Dan in and they can take Rodney out next week. Maybe that will mix things up enough so Mike can stay in awhile. Off to read Dalton's review and watch the Ponderosa footage-thanks for the links Jackie! Debbie in MD.

Lol Debbie, I love the jellyfish comparison. It's so true! And you're right, sharing with his four core alliance members would have been the smart, strategic way to go. But then no one would accuse Will of being strategic.
Tyler does seem shifty and shady, but I know I'm in the minority in that I don't have a huge problem with going through peoples' bags. Things that I would never think are okay in real life: Lying, eavesdropping, breaking promises, following people, smack talking, and yes, going through bags, are within reason. It's a game for a million dollars! If anyone is stupid enough to hide a game changing note in their pack, then they deserve for it to be found. Why did Dan even keep that? Dumb move for someone who is such a student of the game.
I did read some interesting things in interviews with Jenn. She said that when Will started in about the food, she just left. Then it was just Shiren and he laid into her terribly. She said when Mike showed up to get her out of there, Will started screaming at Mike too. She regretted that she left because she said she would have defended Shiren. She was shocked that more didn't, especially Sierra, who had been subject to being belittled as well. In talking to those that did stay, she said it went 3x longer than showed and was much worse. I also don't buy that Shiren is awful and we just aren't seeing it. I think she's odd and could be annoying, but not deserving of what she's getting. Jenn said this about it in an interview:
"They were so horrible to her for no reason. They were so malicious. I never understood it."
She also said that a group of them watched this episode with Shiren at a bar (Jenn, Mike, Hali, and Sierra) because they knew it would be difficult. Jenn said you saw these silhouettes of middle fingers everywhere as all Shiren's supporters were flipping Will off.

Jackie and all-while I did say that I find Tyler sleazy I also said I admired his game play. I too think going through someone's bags is A-okay in Survivor and just wanted to make that clear. Just like Jackie said-it is a game. It's not against the rules so I think it's just fine if a player does it to further their game, in fact I think it's a smart move. And Dan is an idiot for keeping that game changing note in his pack-why not hide it on your person where you would know where it is at all times.
Glad you liked the jellyfish comparison and thanks so much for writing about Jenn's comments. Wow! To think that tirade went on that much longer and was even more intense is horrible. Really, really can't stand Will, and am wishing I could give Shiren a hug right now. I'm a victim of domestic violence-spent 7 years getting emotionally abused by my ex and I know how deep those scars run even though it was 21 years ago. To have to go through what Shiren did must have hurt so deeply. And I really wish I could punch Will right now even though I know violence solves nothing.
It's wonderful that Shiren was with a group of supporters at a bar to view that episode. I'm sure it must have been difficult for her. I also believe what you do Jackie-I think she's just odd and can by annoying, she has a difficulty in social situations. Growing up like she did that stands to reason.
Debbie in MD.
