She is such a dork. She is so excited to go to NYC.. her and her girlfriends are going to see U2 and then see the sights. One of the girls are from NYC so they have a great tour guide. So my sister says, well first thing I want to see is the naked cowboy guy.. knowing my sister she will not be embarrassed and probably dance right by him. She wants to ride the subway. And she is suggesting silly things, she is so excited.. so one of her friends says.. Shannon would be the only person on earth that would be excited if she got mugged, just because she is in NYC. (I told her just get a purse and fill it with some fake money..let it just hang out there...surely someone will mug you!!
I am insanely jealous but I know they will have a good time. They were going to try to see a Broadway show, but good grief, the price of tickets are INSANE... she was quoting me $300 a ticket!! They are going to attempt some Jimmy Fallon tickets, but they are pretty sure they won't be able to get them. Oh and maybe do the Today Show or Good Morning Show summer concert thing...

It is a fun place - I understand her excitement. There are cheap theater tickets available at a couple of different outlets. Today Show is fun, the stage is much smaller than it looks on TV. Get there early. No better place for a girls trip IMHO.

Tickets don't have to be 300 a pop. Tell her to use Theater Mania or Broadway BoxShe won't be able to see "Wicked", but she'll be able to see something wonderful.

Or stop at the tkts booth and pick up same day tickets ( since she'll be in times squar anyway to see her cowboy ). If they aren't picky she could get something good. We just saw les miserables for $84 plus 'fees' or about 90 each.
Good luck!

We've seen two Broadway shows and I don't think we paid over $100 each for either on ticketmaster. One was even on a Saturday night.
