Please suggest a light grey wall color that can be used throughout a new build. I'm finding several beautiful shades of grey with lavender, blue, green, or taupe undertones, but would prefer a "true" grey with little to no undertone; I want the color to always appear grey regardless the lighting conditions. Also, please feel free to recommend a coordinating white paint color for cabinets/trim. TIA!
ETA: Suggestions: BM Horizon SW Repose Gray (darker: SW Mindful Gray) BM Gray Owl Olympic Quill (darker: Olympic Stormy Weather) SW Gray Clouds (with SW Panda White) Behr Porpoise BM Super White (with any color) BM Decorator's White (with any color) SW Requisite Gray

Exactly how light are we talking? I used Benjamin Moore Horizon OC-53 which is probably more of a greyed white but I find it to be without green/blue/lavender undertones. But next to white trim and and large white painted armoire, it definitely reads grey.

We have both Quill and Stormy Weather by Olympic in our house and like both. At first I though the Quill was pink and kind of freaked out, but I think it was that the color I was painting over threw my eyes off (sea green) because when it dried it was definitely light gray. Stormy Weather is a shade darker than Quill so might not be the gray you are looking for but it is a nice medium gray.

We are in the middle of a new build also and we used Gray Clouds by Sherwin Williams. It's a light grey and from what I've seen there are no blue undertones. Our trim is Panda White.

I have no recommendations. Keep in mind that works in one person's home might not work in yours. Plus, the color may change depending on the time of day, the whether, the direction the wall is facing, etc. It may look great in one room and awful in another. Since you're planning on painting the entire house the same color, make sure you pick up samples of several colors and actually paint them in different rooms. Look at it in full sunlight, filtered sunlight, and artificial light. To make things easier, get a white boards and paint them the color you're considering. You can move the boards from room to room.
This is one of those cases where doing a bit extra may save you a ton of grief.

we did Repose Gray from Sherwin Williams throughout the house and Mindful Gray from SW (a little darker than Repose) in the master bedroom. It is a beautiful color that allows you to decorate with any colors you like!

Thanks again for your responses. Additional color suggestions are welcome! I have no recommendations. Keep in mind that works in one person's home might not work in yours. This is one of those cases where doing a bit extra may save you a ton of grief. This is my usual process with choosing paint colors. However, our next home is being built in a different city, so I don't have regular access to it during the building process. I'm hoping my favorite pale grey paint color in our current home (teen's bath painted Sherwin Williams Light French Grey = SW0055) will work. If not, I'll have additional sample boards to consider - thanks to the suggestions on this thread!

I don't have a recommendation for the gray, but I have used Benjamin Moore Decorator's White for all the trim/doors/bookshelves in my house. I have rooms that are a variety of colors and the Decorator's White appears as a true white with all of them.

I was determined to paint my entire house grey, but I wanted to know how grey would look throughout the day and in various rooms of my house. I think I might have painted every single swatch of grey paint available all over my house before settling on Requisite Grey by Sherwin Williams. It falls into the geige category, so no blue or purple undertones. It looks beige in the can and grey on the walls. I don't know how it works, but it does. I learned that if you pick a grey that looks grey on the swatch and and in the can, it will most likely turn baby blue in a bright room.
Good luck!
