I've been wanting to do a tribute to nurses thread for awhile and why not today!
Thank you dear nurses. You do more than dispense medications and deal with bed pans.
We have had the nurses who come in with a sunny smile and brighten our day. The nurses whose presence brings a sense of calm assurance. The nurses who shuffle in quietly overnight and do what they need to do as quickly and quietly as possible so not to disturb our sleep.th nurses who let complaints roll off their back. The nurses who stand toe to toe with the doctors advocating for their patients. The nurses who invest. Who care. Who pay attention and SAVE LIVES.
Thank you.

I agree with your sentiments.
I had the experience of dealing with the NICU when DS was born. The nurses there and in the step down unit kept me sane. When they noticed that I was glued to the heartrate/blood ox monitors, they gently reminded me to watch the baby, not the monitors. They held my hand when I cried and gave me tons of advice in dealing with the doctors and residents. I will be forever grateful especially to Nurse Penny who probably got tired of repeating herself but patiently answered each question I had.
Nurses are amazing, for sure.
