UPDATE 7/2/15:
DH has had three treatments in the clinical trial. He had a CT scan and it looks like the largest tumor shrunk by about 10%! It was a bit of mixed news as his tiny tumors increased about 1 mm. The oncologist thinks he'll have a more complete response after the fourth round, when he has another CT scan.
If you could keep him in your prayers, I'd appreciate it! Thank you for your support this far.

If you would please say a prayer or two for DH. As many of you know he's been battling renal (kidney) cancer for 8 years. It's spread to his remaining kidney, liver, lungs, and pancreas.
He is so close to qualifying for a clinical trial in Chicago that offers real hope for him. We've been jumping through hoops for the last 4 weeks. He's having a CT scan this morning. If that doesn't show anything new, we'll be in Chicago Wednesday for a physical. If THAT is ok, and they have all his history, so we're hopeful, he'll get his first treatment later Wednesday.
I appreciate all the prayers that have helped us get this far. I am counting on the Power of the Peas for that last boost he needs.
Thanks, Lynn Update 5/20 Thank you is not enough, but THANK YOU for the prayers. DH qualified for the clinical trial. He had his first treatment today. We will travel to Chicago every three weeks for treatment. Chicago peas, UI -Chicago staff have been great. |
