I just pulled a sheet of styrofoam out of the dryer with my clothes. It's about 4" x 6". How in the heck did it get up the sleeve of my husband's shirt in the first place? What is the weirdest thing ever to come out of your dryer?

Just talked about this at lunch.
My girlfriend has an upstairs laundry. They didn't know that the previous owners never covered the vents. She said she was getting a smell so she asked her husband to look. He took the vent pipe off at the dryer and dead birds were in there. To make it sicker she called a repairman out to check all of the piping and he found another section that the bird remains were "soupy". That was BAD!!! I would have vomited right there.
They had to put the outside "cage/ cover" up and then they did a section in the piping as another preventative measure! I'm so glad all I ever find is the gum wrapper and the occasion paper that has since shredded on to everything in the dryer!!!

Our cat! I took out a load of dry clothes and folded them as I went, then, leaving the drier door open, I got the next load out of the washer and transferred the clothes to the drier, started the drier and left the room. A bit later my daughter came to me and asked why the drier was making that funny thumping noise. Oh no! I went to check, opened the door and out stumbled our cat. Poor thing was burning hot and panting hard. The kids and I were crying. We took him outside and laid him in the cool grass in the shade and stayed with him as he cooled down. He was fine in a few minutes but you can bet I never put clothes in the drier without making sure it was empty again.

There has been several time both of our cats have climbed into the dryer to investigate. I always double check but I'm scared one day if I'm not doing the washing... You know. So glad your cat was ok.

OK, Sharla, I'm almost afraid to ask, but here it goes: How did a pepperoni pizza get into your dryer? Was the dryer run with the pizza in it? We need details.

The things that I've found are tame compared to what y'all have found. I've only found things like, lip balm, papers, Kleenex, Leggos, bottle caps, etc.

With ex, I used to find all kinds of nuts and bolts. Once I found a pretty big one and asked him if it was a needed part to one of the 2-tons. His answer was "I wondered where that went!" With the boys, random rocks, legos, hot wheels, and mechanical pencils are about all I find. With DH, the only thing I find is the shed key or change. He's boring. I did find a missing knitting needle once. Somehow I managed to move it around from one basket to another to the washer and to the dryer without even realizing it.

I don't know if this is weird, but when my nephew lived with us every single time I did his laundry, I found 11 cents in the dryer. We tried to figure out what he was buying that he would have 11 cents left over!

the only thing I ever find is shredded facial tissues, if I forgot to take one out of my pocket. (oh, wait-- other than the one time a wire from an underwire bra worked itself thru the holes in the screened inside of the dryer drum-- that was fun to take care of! ) Sue, I am so glad to hear your cat was okay!! I have visions of this type of thing happening at my house, too; one of our cats is so curious about the washer, the dryer, and the dishwasher...

Every time I do my boy's laundry, at least three legos fall out. Every time. At least they don't melt.

One of my cats likes to hide in the dryer too if I leave the door open. Thankfully, I always check to make sure she's not in there before I start it.

Pieces of a cockroach. I had to re-wash those clothes multiple times before I could accept that I wouldn't find roach parts when they finally got to go through the dryer again.
