To sew. Hate it with a passion. Give me paper and glue any day and I'm a happy person.
I was sewing with my mother's 40 year old machine just a straight line, that's all, straight line to finish beach towels for AG dolls.
I couldn't see the freaking machine needle to thread it. After 30 mins I got it threaded. Then the bobbin wouldn't stay in place and I couldn't catch it with the needle. Finally got it. Started stitching the knee control thingy fell off. Fixed it, fell off again. Finally just left it on the floor and used my foot. Stitched a little, bobbin fell out again. WTH, how did that happen?
Finally got all five towels finished. Hope my DGD's like them. They are far from perfect. Did I say how much I hate to see?
And the sad thing that makes me want to cry, my 90 year old mother who was a wonderful seamstress, made all my clothes growing up, couldn't see to help me and couldn't remember how to use the machine.
What do you hate with a passion?

You just really need a {{{HUG}}}. Now, your towels are (thankfully) done, ignore the hateful sewing machine, enjoy your AG party prep (which sounds completely decadent!), and have a nice visit with your mother.

Vacuuming!!! The cord tangling, the height adjustment from the rug to the floor getting stuck, accidently vacuuming up the edges of throw rugs, the smell when sucking up a stink bug by mistake, shooting dust and small objects out the back of the machine on to the floor I just went over, vacuuming stairs, going over and over a piece of lint that just won't suck up, not being able to reach all the way under certain pieces of furniture and having to crawl around on my bad knees with the hose, how sweaty I am after finishing the dreaded chore and then noticing I missed some areas...argggggh!!! Have I said how much I hate vacuuming??

I'm right there with you on the sewing. My mum was a skilled seamstress but she could never convince me to fire up the sewing machine. I had a scary Home Economics teacher at school, and every week I would bring home the skirt I was making so that my mum could unpick what I had done and do it properly. It took me about 5 months to make a simple A-line skirt! I must have picked up some stuff though, because when my DD and a friend decided to learn to sew, I impressed them with my knowledge of fabrics, laying out a pattern, using the right type of thread, etc. Just don't ask me to thread a machine!

Oh my. I love sewing, love it with a passion. I wish I could have been there to help or even do it for you.
I hate ironing with a passion, hate hate hate. And maths, it makes my brain hurt.

Sounds like you need to ditch the sewing machine and explore etsy only thing I can think that I HATE to do is pay taxes. I put it off til the last second.

It would have been a lot better with a better machine.
I hate money. I wish communism worked. I wish we lived in a world where we all got along and got what we needed and I didn't have to stress about money.

I hate dirty housework--cleaning bathrooms, floors etc. not just because it's dirty, but also because you don't do it once and you're done. Today I made a flower bed by putting newspaper down and mulching over it. It's hard, backbreaking work but I don't have to worry that someone's going to come along behind me and mess it up. Once it's done it's done.

It's hard to do a good job with shitty equipment. It takes much longer and is so frustrating. I think if you invested in a better machine you would at least find sewing tolerable.

I hate hate hate .... sitting next to little kids in a nice restaurant. This happened to me last night, so it's on my mind.
Other than that, I hate hate hate cleaning dirty dishes. I have an aversion to touching them. Mercifully my husband does the dishes. I also hate hanging up clothes. That's obvious if you ever saw my bedroom.

I doubt it unless it sewed for me. One of the best things about my new sewing machine is that is self-threading! Who knew?! LOL Your granddaughters will not notice any uneven hems and are going to have a blast at AG camp with you.

BTW, there is a pretty serious stack of clothing in my craft studio that needs either mending or hemming. I've lost track both of what's in the pile and how long it's been there. I can't say that I HATE sewing because I simply refuse to do it! LOL. :-D

Anything related to cleaning bathrooms and all floors. I do love the Roomba for vacuuming though because he just gets up and goes without mostly any complaints (sometimes he tries to drive over the wooden closet rails and gets stuck). Waiting for a robot mopper that works really well to come out. Ooh, and a bathroom cleaner robot too. that would be the bomb.
