Drive to store, put it on to grab two things then back to car...ugh! Sorry. ..just cranky about the whole thing..needed a vent!

I did the same thing to my right foot two summers ago. I was in the boot for 6 weeks and it was not fun. Driving was the worst! I totally feel your pain and you can complain and whine all you want!

I'm so sorry! I fell off my porch yesterday and landed on the side of my foot/ankle. Those same thoughts ran through my head...how will I drive? how will I get up the stairs, etc. Luckily, I was spared, this time! I hope your foot heals quickly!

Won't be so bad at work during the day (heck my office is an ice box...I freeze all day..lol) it's just the in and out of other places. I wore one like 12 years ago for a chipped bone in this foot...and I swear I remember driving with it on!

I'm in a boot now. I've been in one since the middle of May. I had to stay off my foot so the bones would fuse together. My back is a mess because of it. I just got the ok to start to walk in it.
I have at least a week left, then gym shoes, which I dread because of the heat, but it's better than the boot!

The boot sucks. I spent a total of 21 weeks of 2014 in one... Luckily it was/is my left foot, so driving isn't an issue for me at all. I have sympathy for everyone I ever see in the boot

I did the boot thing for 6 weeks after being in a cast for 6 weeks and non weight bearing the entire time...and it was my right foot too....so no driving either. I rented a knee scooter, I swear it saved me....my mother was in the trauma unit for three days, and the halls were soooo long. I never would have survived it on crutches. ugh! I was so over it by the end. and I feel your pain, vent away!

I can already tell the toll it's gonna take on my back...and I'll have to watch what shoe i wear on the other to balance myself out...was just doing dishes barefoot and was standing on my toes on the left. Lol

My dr said that they have something that can be put on your shoe to balance it out. I didn't take that as I am only walking on this for 2 weeks as the rest of my time it was elevated 24/7 for the bones to fuse.
I did go to the chiropractor yesterday morning and I'm going again tomorrow. I just hurt a lot. Yesterday it helped and I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning. It is amazing how good I feel once he is done.
