I think HGTV has jumped the shark, as they say, with their new show, Island Hunters.
Today and daughter who is just married is Island shopping with her dad. Their budget is between $5 and $10 Million. I think they have veered off of the Home and Garden theme they use to have. The decorating ideas et.
What do you all think? I think it is a bit pretentious. I don't think it is programing for the everyday people.

I love Island Hunters, even though it isn't housing in my ballpark price. To me it's enjoyable to see what people with real money buy. And some of those island dwellings are pretty primitive, prices notwithstanding.

I personally like to see all ranges of the spectrum. And I also realize a lot of this is staged and view it as entertainment rather than truth.
