I posted last January that my 16 year old daughter changed the auto correct on my phone. She switched yes to no and no to yes. I discovered it while negotiating with the realtor about which items the buyers of our home wanted us to leave behind. Karma came around today, DD is away at a church retreat. I think she is having a fabulous time. I know this because she hasn't answered any of my texts. So every once and a while I will send her a random text just to let her know her Mom is thinking of her. Well today she lost her phone and it was turned in. To locate the owner they got up in front of everyone and said we have a phone that was turned in and then they my random texts to everyone. "I hope you meet a cute boy today" "Have a happy Day" "I hope you found your COW" (Cow = crush of the week) "Say your prayers" "I love you more than old people love Buffets" (she made that one up) "If you think you are to small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito" "You can do hard things" She said it was hilarious! It just goes to show that you really can touch the lives of many by just reaching out to one person! Jen

When my boys were in elementary school they went with me to work every day (for about 9 years total). At the end of a long day of teaching I didn't want to search the entire school/playground for them. If I couldn't locate them with a quick shout down the hallway I would go to the office and get on the PA system and start with a sweet voice asking for them to meet me at the office. If they weren't there within 30 seconds the messages got even more syrupy and sweet. It took two days of this for them to realize when I said be back in the room at five o'clock they should be there. Teachers still comment on the announcements to them now that they are graduated and grown up. No karma, but your post reminded me of some of things I would threaten. To this day, both of my boys are uber punctual.
