We've had such a crummy summer-cool, rainy, cool, rainy, blah blah. BUT, we got lucky for this weekend. Three days of warm, sunny, and DRY! So today will be a repeat of yesterday...swim and then grill. Will probably repeat that tomorrow also, because starting Tuesday is supposed to be cool again for a few days. Gotta enjoy it when you can. So how about you, anything exciting going on?

Not a thing. In fact I have nothing planned for the entire next week.

Errand running, making potato salad, grilling ribs, watching the world cup final. Maybe sitting on my porch swing for the first time this year-we had deck repairs done, plus it has been cool and rainy, so it was just put together yesterday.

Well, what I want to do is beat some damn sense into my child.
(and, no, I would never really beat the boy, it is an expression and a comment made with tongue firmly in cheek.)
He is a good kid, but he expects to be both room mate and child. All the fun and irresponsibility of childhood, but all the rights and abilities to act like a room mate to come and go as he pleases.
NO. NO. NO.

Well, the rain has 'washed out' my DH's plans to go flying, both yesterday and today. I have plans to work in my craft room and empty the laundry hamper. Because of the rain we can't grill out so it's just hanging out around the house.

Well, I've already run my errands, started laundry, and cleaned up the driveway from fireworks last night. I was planning on cleaning out the van but I'm not sure that will happen...it's so hot. DD wants to have a friend over, which is fine, but they are hard to find right now given the holiday weekend. I think we'll make rice crispy treats, giant bubbles and/or go swimming. We have a pool but sometimes I wish we had a community pool so I could take DD and she could make friends instead of being stuck with Mom and Dad all day.

It's 11:00 a.m. and hopefully I've already accomplished everything that needs doing today. I began early with weeding the flower bed, did some light housework and a load of laundry. I have nothing for the rest of the day! Yippe! Thanks to all the grilling we did yesterday, we have leftovers today. Tonight will be World Cup and Poldark. Have I mentioned lately, I LOVE SUMMER!!!
School and reality will be here soon enough!

As little as possible! I cleaned the whole house yesterday, and while I'm sure there is plenty that I could find to do (cleaning closets, go into the office and finish the paperwork I didn't finish up on Friday) I think I'm going to just not think about those things! It's overcast, drizzly and dreary outside so I'm thinking it's a good day to stay under blankets-drinking coffee-move marathon-or read a book day!

taking the dog to the vet clinic to get her yearly immunizations. I hate it...she's about 3 months late because I hate it so much.

I need to do a quick straighten up of the house, a couple loads of laundry and some food prep for a grill out later this evening.
We're having a belated 4th celebration this evening with a couple of friends.

Nothing. We've had like three weeks of 90 degree weather and this week is more of the same with three days of 97. We live in the seattle area where it isn't normally worth it/neceassry to have ac so we don't. The heat sucks the life out of me and I just can't function except in the morning before my house gets too hot.

I took my Mum her shopping, cooked a roast pork Sunday lunch and a rhubarb crumble. I've also made and decorated cupcakes and am now sat on the swing in my garden 'peaing' and listening using headphones to my audio book, I don't want to disturb the neighbours.

Nothing. We would like to go do some stuff outside, but it's so damn hot, it's no fun to be outside for any time at all. Boo.
Oh, wait, we will be watching the World Cup later. That's it.

After a full day yesterday with friends, kids & grandkids, absolutely NOTHING! That is after I pick up the house, patio & yard, clean the kitchen, & do laundry! Thank goodness both my DH & I are off work tomorrow!

Same with us! We are in SW PA and the weather has been so crappy. It's rained most days in June and some days were downright cold. It felt more like fall with gloomy, dark, cool weather. Finally we have had 3 days with minimal rain and no rain on July 4th! We were shocked. The announcers at the parade kept joking about the sun finally being out and they may have to cancel the parade because what is that yellow thing in the sky. One of the rainiest Junes on record. I sure hope the weather is better the rest of the summer.
I feel like I should just sit outside all day today because the rain is coming back tomorrow and could last most of the week. The kids and I may just drive down to NC or somewhere sunny just to improve our moods. The rain makes us all crabby and we have not been fun to be around the past month!

Taking DD shopping to find an outfit to wear for her Senior pictures next week and then I am coming home to work on my quilt top that I started on Friday. We entertained MIL and my parents yesterday so I didn't get to do anything I wanted to do. DH is in charge of food for this evening and the kids are helping with the mountain of laundry that needs to be done. It's back to the routine tomorrow. Ugh.

We got back yesterday from several days at the beach so no one really wants to do much but chill today. I made pancakes & bacon for breakfast (the 13 y/o's favorite - his have chocolate chips in them) and we've been lazy other than that. I have set out butter & eggs to make Snickerdoodles later. We're doing chicken satay for dinner so I'll work on those later. But other than a little more beach laundry (did most yesterday), we're having a lazy day.

My husband, boys, SIL, and her three grandchildren just left for the lake. I am happily staying home to do laundry, clean up the office and think about how happy I am I am not at the lake.

This morning I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, did a load of washing and tidied up the living room. This afternoon I put together a new footstool for my Mum, did some of my maths course and gave myself a pedicure. I'm now just waiting to Skype the husband when he gets home from work.

We went to breakfast with our neighbors. Then we came home and planted radishes and turnips in the garden. Friday we pulled up the tomato plants that were no longer producing. Still have garden salsa peppers in the garden. It is hot and humid here as usually so we will spend the rest of the day inside with the a/c going and the ceiling fans spinning.

I slept in way too late so I'm kind of irritated with myself. I will be running errands today. Most specifically tackling Sam's Club and the grocery store. I wanted to get this stuff done early since it's going to be 100+ degrees again today.

Today is the only day of the weekend I had plans. Going to a BBQ at a friend's house. (We've been friends since fifth grade).
Bringing dessert (one of those jello/cool whip strawberry pies), a six-pack of Blue Moon Summer Honey wheat beer, treats for their dog, and a wood-burning plaque she asked me to make, a painting of her and her mom.
