I actually love a good wooden pencil. I'm not spending hundreds of dollars or anything on them, but I enjoy a good ol' #2 - with a good eraser. Bad erasers make me cringe. Anyway, that's all I have to add. Carry on.
Yes! I like a nicely sharpened (from a hand-crank old school sharpener) wooden pencil - mechanical just can’t match it.
I dunno. There are some hardcore May Designs fans, so it’s possible there’s a following for this.
Good point. Inked is all-FOMO-all-the-time so it will be impossible to separate the faux hype from the actual interest. According to April, everything is always "almost sold out", or they reduce inventory to create artificial waitlists, on and on with the games they play with their customers.
What the fuckity fuck-fuck is the new hawt mess of a box they're launching with May Designs? Two TN-sized notebooks (because they're going to milk the SC TN supplier), three pencils of the same color, one card with envelope, a few small squares of paper with Micah's advice on how to practice self-care ("Put on a face mask" #lifechanging) for $30 m-2-m? The cuckoo just gets cuckoo-ier with each sub box.
THIRTY DOLLARS MONTH-TO-MONTH, MY FRIENDS, T H I R T Y:
joblackfordelegantsufficiency and all other Peas in here who love Japan: if you haven't watched Aggretsuko on Netflix yet, you totally should. Watch it in Japanese with subtitles because the dubbed voices so don't render the original tone (of the female characters especially). I absolutely loved it (and it's been renewed for a second season). Very impressed with Sanrio for coming up with this character and such social commentary on the place of women in today's society.
Also, this show is one long sequence of memes and gifs waiting to be made.
I'm Ok with the colors, the designs on the TN are not awful to me, but I'm definitely not seeing the value there. And I wouldn't want to subscribe to something like that - maybe as a one off if I liked the particular style - but even then, not for $30. I'm thinking it would be about $5-10 worth from Target, which probably has nicer things than this in the dollar spot bins.
Planners and party; $12 font download and $15 clear pencil pouch and a $5/mo coloring page download.
Here’s a list of their business fillings. I think the “product testing” April mentioned was for the King of Random. And there was a story a about playing with those army guys with a parachute for a job.
Did you see they have a new “closeout” category? It has subcategories to make it easier to skip all the party crap and brown balloons. Some prices aren’t bad, but some still more than I’ll pay. Nothing really caught my eye and it’s a lot of stuff that, again, should have been in the warehouse boxes or in the cancelled mega mega sale purchases.

I received my Feb. kits and I love them. I know, gasp! Words that shouldn't be spoken on this thread! But the stamp is absolutely adorable (and usable!) and the doc kit has a lot of great cards and usable embellishments. The colors are really fun, too. It's too bad the scrapbook kit is gone because this kit would have made a super cute scrapbook kit.
