Last week I posted this thread about my daughter's ill-timed attempt to temporarily put some streaks in her hair. I wanted to come back to update (she brought a friend & they had a blast) and show you one of the pictures from the class. There's just enough pink left that it actually ties in with the colors in the piano. This is going to be a 20x30 canvas, and the saying is one she picked out. She is a piano player and has Synesthesia, so it totally fits her personality. God's sense of humor was definitely at work.

Missed your OP about the pink hair. I will have to go back and look for it.
That reminds me of a story of my own. When I was single & sharing a house w/3 girlfriends, one of them decided to get her hair foiled (it was the late 80's) hours before she was supposed to meet a guy her father was setting her up with. Running late as always, she rushes into the house after her appointment with - you guessed it - hot pink highlights. We roared as she asked us that if he was to call from Grand Central (again, late 80's - no cell phones) could we tell him she would meet him under the big clock. It was a true sit-com worthy moment when he did indeed call and when he asked how he would recognize her we were able to say . . .

I just asked her and she says she doesn't know if it makes music easier or harder because she's never not had it  . I'm guessing it probably enhances it & maybe helps with memorization?
Synesthesia is VERY cool. She didn't even realize what it was until she read about it in a science textbook a couple of years ago & realized that she wasn't "normal". Everything is associated with a color or colors for her, from songs to words to people to events. Today is Friday so it's blue. I'm yellow.
