Great idea freecharlie! I haven't posted nearly as much as I feel I should have on the new board, so I'm in for this challenge.

Ok. I'll try, but it'll be hard. Dinner wasn't exciting, but I'll tell you a little tidbit about myself. I'm a table games dealer at a casino and deal a plethora of games. I mostly deal in the VIP room and come across some very interesting and sketchy people. I've done it years, but I'm looking to do something else. The pay is just so good, it's hard to leave. It kills your hands though, and most of your spirit LOL. Is there a Game you like to deal more than others (or less than others) I enjoy VIP blackjack the most. I could use less prostitutes judging me though lol. I detest roulette, but rarely deal it anymore. I feel too pressured when dealing with all that math, honestly. I can do it, but second guess myself because I don't deal it much. I was a language major in college for a reason!

Great idea! DH is out of town so I had pasta salad, pirates booty, vanilla ice cream and a dill pickle spear. I know, makes no sense. I didn't want to cook, or prepare. I did boil some chicken and shredded it, for the dogs. Go figure. I love Pirates Booty!!

I'll try to post! Last night I grilled chicken, mushrooms and zucchini. I also made corn on the cob and tomato-mozzarella salad. Now tonight I don't have to cook because there are tons of leftovers.

Well, I posted three times on the penis thread and have a pink brony as my avatar...I'm sure that says something about me. A couple other (less interesting) tidbits about me: I almost always post from my phone. I blame all typos, formatting, and quoting mishaps on this. The best question I've ever received at work was, "How can you be so brutally honest and still be such a nice girl?" I kinda have a girl crush on Sharlag (or at least her random questions), and I want to have Peabay's grace when I grow up.

I'm solo for dinner a lot lately. I made a pot of creamy spinach and lentils the other day, and I'm still living off of that for dinner. Ten a day posts will be a challenge. Lurking is my comfort zone! That sounds yummy! Care to share the recipe?

I'll go for that. I've been really busy this summer with work deadlines, so I've only been sporadically posting. I need to get back to the reading thread -- I've been reading such crap on my kindle lately.
Dinner: DD and her boyfriend are here for 2 weeks before school starts. She requested wings with boss sauce and corn on the cob (boss sauce is a Rochester NY favorite spicy sauce to put on the wings after you cook them.)
Random Fact: I took a trip to Ohio last week to look at colleges with DS. I'd never been there before, and now I want to move there. We were in Cleveland and Columbus -- both so beautiful.

What a great challenge. Our dinner tonight was baked chicken breast with fresh homemade salsa (made from tomatoes from our garden) with cheese on top, and rice and corn as sides. Simple and delicious. Recipe, please? The salsa is very easy (taken from a Southern Living magazine years ago): Salsa 4-5 plum tomatoes, quartered and seeded (I rarely quarter them but will cut in half.) 2 garlic cloves chopped (I just throw it in the food processor whole) 1 sm jalapeno, seeded and sliced (I just throw in the two halves after seeding it.) 3 Tbsp. lime juice 1/2 tsp. salt (I use coarse.) 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. fresh cilantro Throw everything in a food processor and blend until smooth. The salsa was originally intended to be served with Flank Steak Fajitas which are a signature dish that I serve. Everyone always asks for that recipe so I will include it. Southwest Flank Steak with Salsa Makes 4-6 Servings 2 TBSP fajita seasoning (I use Emeril's Southwest.) 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. pepper 2 TBSP olive oil Combine the first 3 ingredients. Rub olive oil evenly over flank steak; sprinkle with seasoning blend. Cover and chill at least 4 hours. Grill covered with grill lid, over medium-high heat (350-400 degrees) 7-8 minutes on each side or to the desired degree of doneness. Cut steak diagonally across the grain into thin strips. Serve with salsa. For the chicken, I just sprinkled the breasts with a little Montreal Chicken seasoning, topped with salsa and cheese and baked in the oven. My kids love it.

We LOVE salsa in our house and have yet to find the perfect recipe. Thanks for sharing. (may even try doing the chicken too)

Thanks for the recipes ScrappyLin - both sound delicious and I'm going to try them at the end of this week....and will also try the chicken. Now looking forward to you contributing to the 'What's For Dinner' threads each day to see what you come up with for other times!
