I get all choked up at beautiful piano music on Pandora. I also get choked up when my friend plays her piano for me too. Loving and just getting to spend time with my grandsons brings me tears of joy. I am such a sap.

Seeing kids my kids age when I'm at work away from my kids chokes me up, but not in a good way. More of, I miss the heck out my kids, way.
Also, another sad way, hearing about children my kids' age who are seriously ill. It's hard not to think the what ifs, and how would I feel if it were my kid facing that battle. Scares me.

I can never watch a parade without getting choked up. The whole small-town pride thing - little kids in their scout uniforms, the veterans, the bands - it just gets to me.

Well...right now, because it's THAT time of the month - everything. Songs I hear on the radio, sappy commercials, TV shows....you name it and I'm gonna start bawling. The other night we were at a concert and I started crying at one of the stories the opening act told. Generally, though, music is the biggest culprit. Followed by TV shows and movies. Followed by life in general. Also, I agree with parades - doesn't matter when or where, I get a lump in my throat. If an older man cries, I lose it. if it's my Dad, I'm done.

I'm a sap to the core. Music is a definite "trigger." I've said that if you put a music background to our local weather forecast I'll probably cry.

The surprise homecomings for kids whose parent is in the military, most things that involve animals - happy or sad, thinking how quickly time is passing with my kids.

Anything military. My DS just graduated from Navy bootcamp and I'm missing him so much right now. I'll be bawling at my son's Navy boot camp graduation this Friday. Patriotic displays make me misty anyway, but my own child? Oh, yes. I'll be a blubbery mess. The older I get, the more I seem to be that way though. I used to be very stoic about public displays of emotion, but I find I'm softening some. I blame peri-menopause. Ha! Oh... and you know what else I cry at EVERY time? Those military surprise videos where a mom or dad surprises a child at school, a birthday, a graduation, or other event. Man, those get me.

The National Anthem before a High School game of any kind. When the student section at a basketball game does the I believe that we will win cheer. Gets me every time. Nothing like being the mom at a basketball game tearing up over a student section cheer.
I live in a very small town and my kids go to the same school I graduated from and our home town pride is huge.

Currently everything. Pregnancy hormones suck sometimes...lol. Let's see I've cried watching one of the Chattanooga shooting funerals, publix commercials, the commercial where the neighbor responds to the little boys paper airplanes to his dad in the military, my daughter starting 7th grade, sorting baby items, and my dog being sweet and cuddling with her head on my belly....I think she knows there is a little person in there cause she typically hates cuddling because she gets too hot.

My DS said he's going to do that to me at least once during his Navy career. I tell you what though....we watched him walk onto the plane the day after graduation in his dress whites and I lost it. I am tearing up right now just thinking about it. But at least now he has his phone and we can talk and text. I can't even imagine what it will be like when he leaves on his deployment. Oh and have a great time at the graduation! It's an amazing experience! Welcome to the Navy family! Hoo yah!

I can never watch a parade without getting choked up. The whole small-town pride thing - little kids in their scout uniforms, the veterans, the bands - it just gets to me. Ditto on parades. Especially marching bands of younger kids. Also, the Pomp and Circumstance music at graduations, and the Wedding March music at weddings. And the old quintessential yellow school bus has tear jerking qualities for me.

I used to cry at cotton commercials. ("the fabric of our lives.")
Music, particularly symphonic. We have a hymn at church that is set to "Finlandia," and it always makes me cry.
I've gotten a little more stoic with "the change." Thank god.

Since my DD was born, I feel like a day hardly goes by without getting teary. She's a toddler now, so I can't blame it on new mom hormones- she's just made me a sap! Pretty much any news story involving kids gets me- people being nice to kids, people being mean to kids, sick kids, happy kids, it really doesn't matter- it's fodder for tears!

Seeing my kids perform When my kids do something wonderfully unexpected When someone, out of the blue, praises my kids (on more than one occasion they've stood up for another child who's been bullied) The national anthem at baseball games (even though I'm not American, there's something about that song that gets me every single time) Small town parades Animal cruelty of any kind Thinking about my dogs that are no longer with us

I am totally a crier. I cry when I'm happy. I cry at graduations and dance performances (even when it's not my kid on stage!). I cry when listening to TED talks about inspiring people and bravery and courage that I can't even imagine having to summon. I cry sometimes still when I think about when my mom was diagnosed with stage IV cancer and how she fought so hard -- and because of that, is still here today. I am crying right now because DH's uncle who has brain/skin cancer has declined rapidly this week and now can't communicate.

I have been crying a lot today. First it was the music and then I am so grateful for where I am in my life.i have been through hell for several years. Knock your socks off Hell. I moved back to my hometown and reconnected with old friends and spilled all my secrets to them. Each one has been so shocked and sad that I never reached out to anyone. I never confided in anyone what was going on.
I am now surrounded by family and deep friends that love me. I am so grateful for a chance to be happy again.

Elderly military men marching in parades. Songs like 'Green Green Grass of Home'. Animals killed on the highway.
