I want to buy my kids some good quality lunch boxes. I'm so tired of the cheap ones not lasting. The boys have both had linings ripped out or zippers broken on some the cheap ones we've had in the past.
I'm wondering if the L.L Bean ones are worth the price or if anyone has other suggestions.

We've been through a lot of different brands, and LL Bean bags are the most durable I have found. They also hold up easily to being thrown in the washing machine (I air dry them afterwards and they dry quickly). I think they are worth the price. They also often go on sale, at least the unpopular colors.

This one from Lands End and this one from Pottery Barn Kids are my favorite kind because they're so easy to clean out. Between four kids we've probably had 8-10 of them. I had a problem with one zipper because the fabric frayed a little and got stuck repeatedly, which they took care of immediately, but I'm positive it was DS picking at it that caused the problem.

This one has quality materials, comes in a variety of bright colors and is machine washable:

I've had good luck with ones from Garnet Hill, LLBean and Land's End. The Land's End one does seem to catch more crumbs in the seams, but it also belongs to my son, so it could be he's just messier than his sisters. Both LLBean and Land's End have lifetime guarantees, I think. So if the zipper comes off or it gets a hole in it, you should be able to replace it, even if it's been monogrammed. Oh, and I throw all three in the wash from time to time with no issues.

My question about that Solvetta one is can the kids get it zipped back up again? I'm thinking of the littlest ones, like kindergarten, 1st, even 2nd. I can see some disasters in the making if it's hard to get re-zipped. It sure is cute though.
Costco has some good ones right now. They look sturdy and can be carried two different ways. just bought one for myself actually, although of course I'm not as rough on mine as kids can be. lol

I buy the LL Bean lunch boxes every year. We have never had a ripped up inside or outside and the zippers are pretty heavy duty. They last through the school year and going every day to Summer camp. I only replace them because I feel like we get out $20 (or less if on sale) and the girls want a new pattern or color. There have been a couple years that they've used the same one.

I'm really jazzed that I can throw it in the wash if it gets yogurt or something on it.

I always bought my kids Pottery Barn ones. I like their quality. Same with the backpacks. They last for years.

LL Bean is great. One year dd got so tired of having the same lunch box year after year so she tried rubbing it on the concrete to destroy it. It was no worse for wear. We broke down and bought her a new one.
Ds10 lunch box zipper broke. I need to get to LL Bean to replace it. He says "mom just buy a new one. Don't be cheap!" I said we pay more for their stuff because of their replacement guarantee.

I've heard good things about the Costco lunchboxes and had planned to look there for DD, but she found one at Target that she liked - linkIt seems like a decent quality compared to some of the selection at Target, but we will see.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think we are going to give LL Bean a try.
