Awesome news!! Very exciting!! My youngest is our miracle baby. I have PCOS as well. Our oldest we conceived through injectibles and IUI. 3.5 years later I was pregnant with our youngest/2nd DD. The only thing I can figure is that I had started exercising again. That's so great! I had heard that diet and exercise could help, and I tried that, but I honestly think I just wasn't ovulating. I did learn several years after seeing the RE that I might have been taking Clomid at the wrong time. Most docs believe a woman ovulates by day 14 of the month. Well my cycles were much longer, like 40 days instead of 28. So I think that I was taking clomid on days 5-8 but it wasn't doing anything because I wasn't ovulating anywhere near that time. That was frustrating to find out.

So happy for you! This young couple chose life and now they know their baby will have parents who have been longing for her. The mom told me that she was really upset at first. She was wondering "why me, why now?" And now that this has happened she knows why.

Coming out of lurkdom to congratulate you!! I also struggled with infertility and got a miracle baby 4 years ago (Charlotte Rose!!) Prepping for that baby is going to so much fun - enjoy that time too. I don't know if you remember me, but I'm in Cranberry, so if when the time comes you want to discuss preschools or fun kids activities just let me know! Lots going on down here ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) ) Tracey Thanks Tracey! I am having such a great time, my Mom is just in her glory that she gets to do all kinds of shopping!! LOL I will keep in touch, I could always use advice!!

Thanks everyone, for all of the wonderful words!
We attended my godson's graduation party on Saturday and this is the first time I've seen most of my family since everything came about. My Mom has a large family - 10 brothers and sisters, and there are 17 grandkids and I'm the oldest. Of those 17 kids, they have had 13 of their own so far. You would have thought I was having the first one, everyone was so excited.
A lot of time when we talk about it people give the usual "things are going to change, it's going to be so different, you won't have any time of your own anymore" and my best response has been "I don't mind, I am ready. I have had plenty of time to give myself, I am ready to give myself to someone else!"

I'm so happy for you! Something eerily similar just happened with my brother and his wife. They tried for 15 years and gave up. Then about a month ago someone asked if they wanted to take on a baby within the family that the mother and father couldn't keep. They are in the process of adopting him right now. It's working out for everyone.
Enjoy that little girl!

THIS IS WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited for your growing family. I suffer PCOS and it kills me how many families struggle because of this. We had 5 years between our oldest and the 2nd pregnancy. That ended in the loss of our little girl but she must have special angel powers because she sent us twins within 18 months ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) So will Charlotte be a Charlie ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) I have a friend who did that and the little girl is adorable

We both love the nickname Charlie! I do, though, love Charlotte, so we'll probably use both. I promise to only use Charlotte Rae if I'm REALLY mad. I don't like being middle named for no reason!!! LOL

Congratulations! I can't wait to meet the new little Refupea.
Cheer to you for still wanting to foster! I know two people who adopted out of the foster care system. A coworker fostered two siblings under three who eventually were placed with an uncle. She then fostered and adopted a baby girl who was abandoned at birth. My hairdresser and his wife have an 8 yr old boy. They wanted to foster to adopt a child older than four. They fostered and adopted an adorable five year old boy earlier this year. Here in Texas, you can specify if you want to foster children under three or over three.

Here in Texas, you can specify if you want to foster children under three or over three. You can do the same here. You can be as specific as you want regarding age, race, what kind of challenges the child has. They will only match you with kids who best fit your family. I've always wanted to foster. Even when we were at the point that we thought we wouldn't have kids, I wanted to foster. DH was the one that didn't want to, but only because he didn't want to get attached to the kids just to have them leave. Now that we'll have our own, I know that it'll be easier for him. There are just so many kids out there that need good foster homes, and good permanent homes. I wish I could take them all!! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)
