I fear losing our real news shows such as this and the Colbert Report.

I was telling my husband It is going to be very hard find a place that will really let me know what is going on in the world. I was only kind of kidding. I will miss him.

Don't know. Is just retiring from The Daily Show. The last episode with Jon as host just finished airing 40 minutes ago on the East coast. I will miss him dearly.

We've taped it and I can't bear to watch it yet.
I'm really really going to miss him.

Ugh...will miss him so much.
Will never forget "but you know who won't see it? Bin Laden. Because we shot out his eyeballs and now he lives in a pineapple under the sea."

Yep, not much worth watching any more. It will be interesting to see what Colbert's new show is like and the new guy taking over the Daily Show...but I don't hold out much hope. I like Larry Wilmore and the Nightly Show but he's no Jon Stewart.

His show hasn't aired on the West Coast yet. Not sure I'm going to watch it tonight. I'm DVRing it so I'll probably watch tomorrow.
I'll miss him as well. Darn him. I understand the farm they just bought in NJ will be a sanctuary for old farm animals.

Of course gazumping the presidential debate with his own announcement There was no announcement I just wanted to see how this box works and thought it would be a fitting tribute to Jon Stewart on the Daily Show but honestly, if he ran, I would probably vote for him. Maybe we can get a Jon and Stephen campaign going again! We already have a Capital full of clowns who aren't even funny, let's add a couple of comedians!

Sad for so many reasons. One of which is he's one of the few shows that I share with all of my kids. I can't tell you how many conversations in my house have started with: "did you see Jon Stewart last night?"
And Bruce. Thank God Jimmy Fallon is a fan so Bruce will still show up on talk shows occasionally.

Seriously going to miss him. He took an amusing cable channel show and turned it into something both funny and relevant.
Jon Oliver's new show is very good, and I like Larry Witmore, but nothing is going to replace Stewart.
I look forward to seeing what Colbert is like without the personae.

Oh man, I just loved the send off from Bruce! My husband and I are pretty bummed that it's over. Not sure where we're going to get relevant news talk from now. We really like John Oliver, but he doesn't really get into the day to day stuff, you know?

As far as Steven Colbert goes, I am assuming that he will just be another late night host. I will be shocked if there's much political spin on his new show at all.

I'm going to miss him so much! I wish he'd stuck around through the election but I understand why he didn't. I actually teared up a few times during the finale and that ending made me weepy. There's no one who can replace him in my book. Stephen Colbert summed it up perfectly!

I gasped when Craig Kilborn said his piece to Jon. that was totally the wayback machine. My favorite part of the Daily Show when he hosted was "When news breaks, we fix it!" That line made me crack up every time.

I so love JS and will miss him on the Daily Show. I made DH record last night's episode, along with all the other DS episodes they played yesterday leading up to his last show. That is my plan for tomorrow - binge watch it all!

I'm super pissed. Directv only recorded 52 minutes. I think they have replayed it so maybe you can find it on a replay.
