Update 8/14
today they offered her the job! She wants to work there but we have some questions for HR before she accepts. They want to hear back from her Monday. They would like her to start mid Sept. She won't make much at first so I'm thinking she will have to rent a room somewhere nearby. We don't know anyone down there. I don't want her moving in with any strangers. Maybe there's a way to rent rooms/apartments with other Cast Members?
She is a cosmetologist and a HUGE Disney fan. This is her dream job to be a stylist at Disneyland. She applied last Wed, had a phone interview today, and is flying in this Wed for a "hands on" interview.
I cant go with her because I'm a teacher and Wed is the first day of school. We booked the flight for her this morning.
She lives at home and we are very close but I want her to shoot for her dreams. If you can spare any positive thoughts I'd appreciate it.

How exciting for her! I had a cousin work at Disney World back in the 70's in accounting. He loved working there. I'm assuming the interview is in Orlando or is it in LA? Keep us updated!

My gf's dd had the same type of experience with Disney. They don't seem to mess around. She was in Orlando. She was one of the bakers for the park. They gave her 3 months of housing as part of the job. That was a nice perk so she didn't have that stress. She lived/breathed and worked Disney almost 24/7. It was the best job in the world.

Their costuming department is heavenly!!! I've been there several times and it while it is a job, it just seems magical! Does your daughter know anyone down here? I live 30 minutes away, but would be happy to help your family out if needed. Wishing her lots of luck!

How awesome!! Good luck to her.  Ive known people who were "cast members" for Disney. Loved hearing all the behind the scenes stuff. I tried to get a job at The Disney Store here when I was 19, they are very particular, no piercings and all that. I was willing to take out tongue and eyebrow piercings. But when I found out I'd have to wear those shiny flesh colored tights with khaki shorts, I was like nope! Cant do it. Lol |

No, she doesn't know anyone down there. That's the one thing I'm worried about...she doesn't have a lot of $ or contacts. But I know she will work her butt off to make this work. And I will support her as much as possible
ETA: we used a reference from a current Disneyland manager. I grew up next door to this guy and I used to babysit him, went to his wedding, friends on Facebook etc. . Maybe he will have some leads to cast members who need roommates..... If the opportunity presents itself

Lucky girl! I hope she gets it. My daughter would do just about anything to work anywhere at Disney. It sounds like you have given her the wings to fly and it must make it a little easier knowing you are in her corner if she needs help.
