I have to answer for the high school level since that is where we are at this point:
The boy leaves at 6:45 am to be in his seat at first bell at 7:25. School is out at 2:15.
(this years he will finish earlier than that because he has completed a lot of the requirements so he has less classes to take.)

We have a 180 day year, and the elementary kids go from 8:30-2:50. So your school, OP, has over an hour on our kids.

I work in a private school with students from K3 through 12th grade. We have around 1,200 students.
K3 - 4th grade 7:55-2:45 x 180 days = 1230 hours per year 5th - 8th grade 7:55-3:00 x 180 days = 1275 hours per year 9th - 12th grade 7:55-3:15 x 180 days = 1320 hours per year
Our public schools Have a shorter year and have shorter days.
K5 - 5th grade 7:55-2:30 x 175 days = 1152 hours per school year 6th - 8th grade 8:55-3:05 x 175 days = 1254 hours per school year 9th - 12th grade 8:10-3:25 x 175 days = 1269 hours per school year

When I was in HS in PA 25+ years ago, we went from 7:40am-3:20pm. When I taught ES in MD, my students were in class 8:30am-3:30pm. My DS is in MS right now; he goes 7:50am-2:50pm. The HS is 7:30am-2:30 pm. All schools are/were 180 days. I was surprised when we moved from PA to MD, the school days were an hour shorter.

Primary school - 9am to 3:30pm (first bell goes at 8:50am) High School - 9am to 3:30pm (bell goes for Homegroup at 8:40)
We have 4 terms per year between 8 and 11 weeks in length, with a 2 week break in between and a longer 6 - 7 week break at Christmas (summer).
After the public holidays and curriculum days are taken out: DS in primary school: 191 days DD in high school : 181 days
(It would be one extra week for public schools.... for some reason the more money you pay the less days they attend!!)

My school (elementary and middle) goes from 7:45-3:00. We have to go for 185 days OR 1,025 hours minimum. Hours really don't come into play for us unless we've had snow days and no time to make them up. Saves us from having school on Saturday.

Our elementary school is 8:10-2:50 and the middle school is 7:20-2:25. I'm not certain about our high schools' hours, but they have a later start and later dismissal than the middle and elementary schools.

We have between 193 to 196 school days so our days are shorter:
K-6: 8:20 to 3:00
7&8: 8:20 to 3:10
9-12: 8:20 to 3:45
All have 1 hour lunches.

We have a really dumb (IMO) school day here. We don't have one lunch, we have two "nutrition breaks" every day. Plus two recesses and one daily DPA (Daily Physical Activity) block for 20 minutes. So typically this is how my kids' day goes in Elementary school: 8:25 First bell 8:40 - 10:25 Learning Block 1 (plus 20 minute DPA as per class teacher) 10:25 - 11:05 First Nutrition Break and Recess 11:10 - 1:25 Learning Block 2 (plus 20 minute DPA as per class teacher) 1:30 - 2:10 Nutrition Break and Recess 2:15 - 2:45 Learning block 3 and dismissal. The schedule is nuts and my kids hate having two lunch breaks. I wish they'd go back to 2 15 minute recesses and then an hour lunch from 12-1 or 12:30 - 1:30. It's really difficult for parents to pack lunches this way and it really does make no sense to any of us. That is really odd. I've never heard of a schedule like this. I was just reading an article about TCU partnering with one of the large districts in DFW to do a research study about recess. They are going to do 4 15 minute recesses throughout the day and see how it effects learning. Those recesses would be in addition to the required 135 minutes per week of PE. It's called the "balanced day" if you want to research it. A lot of parents like it, but it really is a pain for lunches. Most of the parents want the "old" schedule back.

It's a long day, 7:30am-2:30pm.
They don't get recess once they are in 5th grade, and only 20 minutes for the younger students. I have girls, and it's so hard for them to sit still all day. They really need a recess to get out all their energy and better concentrate the rest of the school day!

An hour for lunch?? OMG! I'm so jealous! 135 minutes required PE? Wow!
We are 7hr days for 180 days. Half hour lunch. 15 mins recess. 50 minute specials
This is eye opening and yet another reason common core won't work. Education is vastly different across the country.
