My niece is getting married in October in an outdoor wedding in Morgantown, WV. I've never been there, but I'm thinking it could be kind of chilly. I have no idea what to wear! Any suggestions? I will probably want to wear either flats or wedges, maybe even boots-the wedding/ reception is in a wooded area in late afternoon/evening. Thanks!

That area will be cool. Wear something that you can put a shrug over. Bring a pashmina. Definitely cool in evening.

I don't think "outdoor wedding" is enough to go on when deciding what to wear. The tone of the wedding could still be quite formal even though it's outdoors.
Do you not have any other information to go on? We might could make more helpful suggestions then. What time of day? Was the invitation formal or did it suggest a theme?

Hmmm, strange time of year. You could have an "indian summer" or it could be frosty. I am going to go with layers!

Bug repellant? ;-)
LOL j/k
A couple of years ago, my DH's cousin got married outside. One of the guests got stung by a bee and they were allergic!
It was quite the scene! But after that the wedding was very nice.
I would go with layers.

Wear what you would wear to an indoor wedding and bring along a sweater or wrap to wear in case it gets cool.

The wedding is an a wooded area at 3:30 with the reception immediately following. The reception is in a rustic log cabin. As for formality, the groomsmen are wearing dark wash jeans with ties and vests, so fairly casual although the bride will be wearing a long white dress. I'm not sure about the bridesmaids. My usual wedding attire is a wrap dress with heels, but that won't work this time.

Think comfort....we went to a beach wedding last week....I wore linen pants and a flowy top. We have a fall event...I'll probaly wear a long skirt & sweater. Or maybe a pesant dress and tights. I will bring a sweater wrap with me. Enjoy the outdoors...

I would wear the same thing, but replace the heels with flats or wedges and bring a wrap.

I'd still wear the wrap dress but instead of heels go with a wedge and bring along a wrap or jacket.
Or alternately, since the groomsmen are wearing jeans I might wear jeans/pants and a couple of layers of autumn colored tops that could be removed/added to depending on the weather.. a long sleeved tshirt and a sweater and boots. Some trendy jewelry.

I would wear a dress that would look great with boots and definitely bring a wrap.
A lot of wrap dresses look good with black knee high boots.
If you like the Boho look there is a lot that you could do with that look that seems like it would fit in with the style of the wedding.
