That don't slip off? I bought some cheap ones at JCPenney and shortly into my workout they start sliding backwards off my head.
I was browsing around on Amazon and there's so many, and quite the range in price too. I don't mind trying a more expensive one if it's going to stay put. Any recommendations?

I just wear the terry cloth headbands that I can get at Wal-Mart. I sweat a lot and I need something to absorb it and keep it out of my eyes. But I will watch this as I would love something a bit more stylish! (Not that as anyone really notices me huffing and puffing down my dirt road....)

Sweatybands are the only ones that don't slide up the back of my head.

I second the recommendation for Sweatybands. They cost a little more, but really do stay in place. I wear them when I run.

IFitThese are the best headbands I have ever tried. Stays where I put it. Canadian company but they ship outside of Canada. With the Canadian dollar right now this is a good buy for U.S. customers.

I buy the ones from lululemon, they have a grip underneath the band.

I use Bolder Bands and love them. They hold really well (but aren't very absorbent). link

I LOVE the bands by LishySmithy. I think she sells on etsy and has her own site too. I bought some from a store and they were a joke compared to hers. I have fine, extremely smooth hair and they hold it so well.

I buy Kyodan brand headbands from Marshalls or TJ Maxx. They are $4.99 and are very similar to the Lululemon headbands with the grippy piece inside. I probably have 15-20 of them in all different colors and wear them daily for yoga or running.

I buy the ones from lululemon, they have a grip underneath the band. My sister, my 2 daughters and I all find the Lululemon ones too big. Even with the rubbery grip. I don't find I have a small head when it comes to hats though.

I don't find I have a small head when it comes to hats though. Yeah...they're too wide for me. Bic or Brady bands are good; I've also found some "grippy" ones at Lucy and Nike.

I've been on the search for the perfect workout headband for what feels like forever. I need them to hold back my hair/bangs, but also to help keep the sweat from dripping down my face. (I am NOT one of those women who can workout and just glow. Nope. I hate those women.) My first attempt was the Gaiam Sure-Grip headbands. They have non-slip silicone strips on the inside and pretty much stay where you put them. Being cotton/spandex, they do a good job on the sweat front, too. The first few I bought from Kohl's came in a 2-pack, but the last one was only one. Not sure why. I bought some from ItFit a few months ago. They usually run a special where you can buy 2 and get 1 free, plus you can find additional discounts online too. I like them, but they do tend to slip a little unless I wear them at least half their entire width and fairly far down on my forehead. They do a good job with the sweat, but because more of my head is covered, they feel kind of hot when I wear them. I got a free trial (just paying shipping) band from Bolder Bands as well. I measured my head per their website and got the larger size, but it still slips around more than I'd like. Between hem and ItFit, I prefer ItFit.

I recently bought an Under Armour one and it really works. I don't know if it's the shape of my head or what, but headbands like to slide right off the back of my head. The Under Armour one has grippy stuff on the underside.

I second the Halo bands. They also have a little strip that will whisk away sweat from the front of your face.

My daughters like the Under Armour headbands. The thin elastic headbands.

In addition to headbands slipping off, I also have the issue of them giving me a headache, even if they don't seem too tight. I found Sweaty bands and Champion bands (from Target) to be too tight and they slipped off anyway. Same problem with various cheap drugstore bands with the silicon/rubber inside.
I have a few wide Bolderbands and they usually stay on (they fall off about 1 out of 4 times), but wish I had purchased the regular width. Maybe I'll cut one down and see how it works. As someone else said, they don't absorb sweat.
What works best for me is foldover elastic. Cheap, lots of colors, and when they get stretched out, I can reknot them to get a little more wear or just toss them. Note that I still need to put my hair in a pony tail to keep it all out of my face.

My head is not the right shape for any headband Mine doesn't seem to be, either. I have a couple of Sweatbands I bought on clearance at Target, and if I wear them, I end up using clips to keep them on my head. It makes me sad because there are so many cute ones! If I wear a headband at all, it usually ends up being an old school plastic one. Most of the time, I just don't wear a headband.

BIC Bands currently has their sale bands an extra 33% off! I also have an additional code for an extra 10% off on top of that or anything else on the site. Let me know if you'd like the code!

I have an apparently tiny head, and really have trouble with them slipping. Actually, it's mostly the back of my head. It's a little flat, I think. I've bought a couple kinds from Target that have some grippy stuff, and those have worked. I need something better, though. I may try one of those iFit bands to see.

I thought those went out in the 80's? Have you not seen any runners, been to a gym, or walked/driven by a high school in the last 5 years? Seriously, they're everywhere. Athleisure/athletic headbands are HUGE. SaveSave

I have some Fila headbands that I got at Kohls that work well. However, I just looked at the itFit website and the pics show the women wearing the headbands over the years. Is that what people do? I only wear mine at home for working out and have never noticed anyone wearing them over the ears like that.
