In Hickory, NC. From Columbia, SC. Daughters near Clemson, SC. Yep, we spend a lot of time on the roads between the two states.

I am in NJ now, but I was born and raised in Anderson, SC until I got married at the ripe old age of 22. My mom and grandparents still live there, though. It really is a small world!

I can't read that without hearing Jon Reep say it! He is the only comedian I've ever actually gone to see in person (mostly because my family/friends don't want to or can't afford to). Oh, and I'm in Peachtree City, GA, a southern suburb of Atlanta. It's where the National Weather service is for this region, so you may have heard of us on The Weather Channel. We are also where many of the actors for The Walking Dead and the films being made at Pinewood Studios (like Ant-Man, Captain America:Civil War, and others) usually stay. I have two kids in college up in Dahlonega, GA, and can occasionally be found at my parents' cabin Blue Ridge. We've gotten real familiar with the roads between the two places and home. I'd move to the mountains if I could (because I love it there, not because the kids are there). It's early morning here now. I've been awake since 6pm yesterday after being awake from 6pm Sunday til 4pm Monday. So I've only had a 2 hr nap since Sunday at 6pm, unless you count the 45 minutes that I was sedated yesterday when I got an epidural steroid injection. And the steroid injection is what I'm blaming for having been awake all night without feeling tired at all, and in fact I've cleaned out some clutter, scheduled 3 different kind of appts with service people, updated my iPhone software, and aggravated my cats by not going to bed.

Future NC pea here. Two of my adult kids live in Mooresville NC. I have two cousins there as well. The rest of my family have moved from Long Island NY to GA, Northeast of Atlanta area.My house goes up for sale this weekend. We hope we sell quickly. We will be relocating to the Mooresville area. My son and his family have been there 17 yrs and my daughter 10. We have visited so often now that it feels like home. I'm so excited for this move! Edited to add we have vacationed at Atlantic Beach NC for over 30 yrs so I guess you can say we love our adopted state of NC.

I am in Kingsland, GA. Kingsland is 3 miles from the Stateline in the very SE corner of GA, just N of Jacksonville, FL. My Dd goes to school in Atlanta, so we get up that way occasionally.

I'm in Alpharetta, Ga about 40 mins north of Atlanta. We have family in Fort Mill, SC. I love that little town. My town has grown so much it's not fun anymore with traffic and congestion. We have so much new home construction; every family owned horse farm is being sold off to build subdivisions.

I just got back from picking up boot camp boy from Columbus Georgia...does that count? Well you're in Florida, so that's pretty close. But I was raised to know that Florida isn't the South, so only pretty close. (Funny thing... I'm here in Georgia with Ft Benning, but both of my Army sons did Basic Training at Ft Jackson, SC, and my Marine son was at Parris Island SC, so we had to go out of state for graduation, too.)

I have family in Henderson, too. If I'd gone away to college, I was going to live with them while I went. They say it has grown up some in the 25+ years since then. And NC would be my 2nd choice for a state to live in. One of the prettiest states we have, I think!

We live in a small college town near Altanta, GA, but I was born in Anderson, SC and dh was born in Athens, GA. I was the 4th generation my family to attend Erskine College. I left after my sophomore year to transfer to UGA, where my future dh (we were engaged) was attending. After graduation, he went to med school at MCG in Augusta. Curt did his residency in Savannah, GA, which we absolutely loved! We had the time of our lives, despite the long grueling hours he had to put in! We have so many wonderful memories of Northeast Georgia and Anderson, SC and we long to go back for a visit!! I Hope you enjoy your time there!

My SO has family that lives in Sharpsburg and my dad lives in Fayetteville and works in PTC, so we pass through several times a year and I love to visit old haunts. I'm in Dacula, GA - NE of Atlanta in Gwinnett County. I've been here for 10 years now and will likely be here for at least another 10 years. Jen

Yes, NC has it all, and such great colleges! If we lived in NC, our kids would have so many wonderful colleges to choose from, and the in-state tuition is very low compared to PA!

My dh is MHS Class of '86 (only the 2nd year they had graduation, I think). We've both been in the county since the late 70's/early 80's. I work at the hospital here, and my dh (who works for Delta) and I own the Benjamin Moore paint store in Fayetteville. Where does your dad work?

His dad used to work for Delta as a mechanic many years ago. I originally moved there in the summer of '84. My dad retired from the FAA and now helps to manage the Westminster Memorial Gardens across from Holy Trinity on Hwy 54. Both my SO and I have family buried there, including his dad and my mom. Dad used to work as a caretaker there, and still does some odd jobs, but he's getting older and can't do as many of the physical things he used to, so now he does more office work. Small world! Jen
