Big thanks to LisaDV for hosting the August challenge. I'll be around to post future challenges but if you would like to guest host a month feel free to volunteer.
Use the below list to inspire your project. You can use one, some or all the prompts on the list. Substitutions are welcome and encouraged.
• At least 2 different alphas • polka dots or stripes • labels/tabs • felt or fabric • frames • something with text (could be something like a chipboard or vellum word, or text printed paper, washi, etc)
All types of projects count (paper, digi, hybrid, PL, art journaling, anything else you create) and if you share your projects online please link them here so we can admire and leave some love. You can find instructions to post in the Refupeas gallery in this thread but shout out if you need help.
Hope you find some time to play along and I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

I'm in this month. I am working on a layout that has at least 3 of the prompts listed. It's a fun list. Thanks for hosting this Chinagirl828. crimsoncat05, I am looking forward to the long weekend too. I'm in charge of a family reunion and we are expecting 71 to attend. I'll scrap once we get back home.

nylene, after a family reunion of 71, I think I'd come home and crash! Chinagirl828, my heart fluttered at the felt/fabric line!!! I'm all excited now and I still have to finish an August challenge first.

Here's one from me. I used two different alphas, a label, and a stripe (sort of, the pool depth print is technically a stripe). You can click on the image to see it larger in the refugees gallery.

This layout has stripes, 2 different fonts, and text on the butterflies. Together by Nylene Budge, on Flickr Chinagirl828, I love your page. You look sooo relaxed. Left you a note on Flickr. pridemom, we can help you post your layout. If someone as computer-challenged as I am can do it, you'll have no trouble.

Chinagirl828, love your page. Your pictures really stand out. nylene , I always love your pages. The corner with the flowers and butterfly look so well together. When ever I try to do something like that it always ends up looking like clutter.

Can I play? I've actually done a LO this week and it actually fits the brief! Stripes, a frame and text. The paper is about 10 years old, found during my planned stash re-organisation. This is my elder granddaughter's first day at play school. Mum doesn't want her face or details on a public forum. Chinagirl828 and nylene I love the clean lines of your los and the colours of each.

I love the neutral tones and the little pops of gold. Great job using that text paper - I always struggled with those. I love the little guitar picks too. Beautiful lo!

Here's another one from me. I have added and taken things away on this page for the last 2 days and decided to just leave it alone. I used polka dots and two different alphas. I bought some Tsukineko metallic inks a couple of weeks ago and played with them for the first time on this page colouring the while alpha stickers. Oh my, the colours are amazing.

I agree and the title looks like bobbing up and down on the ocean. Chinagirl828 Your photos are such fun and your journalling has me right there with you. I have taken the plunge and opened a Flickr account. It all seems very strange at the moment but hopefully I will get the hang of it. Do I just do a web page link to anything up loaded there? I'm about to find out! A LO of my other DGD which I did last night. There is framing with the stitching around the edge of the photo and there is text on the two transparencies on opposite corners. Are photos posted to the gallery private or can any one see? My Sweetie Pie
hmm, that's not what I was expecting. I'll look again in the morning when I'm more awake!

gillyp - there were some instructions shared in the August stash challenge thread that walk you through how to get your image to show in a thread. "For Images. Pull up the image on flickr. In the bottom right corner of the black area is a star, a share arrow and a download arrow. Click the share arrow. Choose your size and the BBCode. Copy the link. Then when you are in Reply mode on the forum, the bottom tabs say either HTML or BBCode. Choose the BBCode tab. I just had to insert the copied text. I didn't even use the link button, I just pasted my text." Shout out if you're still having trouble - it's not intuitive and I can't even begin to tell you how many times I tried before I learnt how to do it!

bklyngal62, your cruise layouts are really making me want to try a cruise. I love the movement in your title. I agree that it looks like it's bobbing on the sea. Love the rope detail and the wheel and anchor embellishments. Perfect colors! gillyp and Chinagirl828, your layouts are wonderful. I left you comments in the gallery. I'm loving all the layouts posted so far this month!

Karen, your pages are beautiful. I love your clean and classy style. I love your Eiffel Tower photo. Just gorgeous! And your strip journaling is so nice and even. Mine always looks like it was cut apart by a child! LOL! Left you some love in the gallery.

I type my journaling at 1.5 spacing and then just feed it through my trimmer and cut between the text.
