I might have been won over by fiesta cups and saucers I saw in Goodwill today, but I have questions. how easily do they chip? I've had Longaberger pottery for about 15 yrs. if the kids wouldn't have broken pieces that are difficult and cost prohibitive to replace, we would still be using them. They didn't chip.period.

We use our Fiesta every single day and not one piece has a single chip. It's very sturdy.

Thanks ladies. I knew we had a lot of fiesta fans and I think you've convinced me.

No chipping. It's the best thing about Fiesta. Well, besides the pretty colors, variety of items, and style. What color(s) did you find?

Mine only breaks when I drop it. I've never had it chip.
They're having a tent sale at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus September 17-20th.

Mine has never chipped, but I will warn you. If you throw the plate AT the dishwasher, rather than gently setting it in the dishwasher, it will explode!

I've had some of my pieces for over 20 years. DH has chipped one bowl by dropping it onto our tile floors. I'm not sure if it chipped when it hit and bounced off the granite countertop or when it hit the tile. It got a small chip but did not break. These dishes have been packed and moved 10 times, some short distance moves, some across multiple states. The only chip ever was from that big drop. We use it every day, including my 4 year old.

No chips but some colors do scratch and once retired they are rather expensive to replace.

No chips and going on 20 years. I've only had one broken plate by dropping it on the floor.

14 years (as of my anniversary today ) and no chips. I did however flat out break one when I dropped it from high up!
Great quality!!! Still love my dishes!

Speaking of Fiesta, have you read about their upcoming tent sale in Columbus, OH?

Another previous Longaberger pottery owner that converted to Fiesta here! I find the quality similar between the two brands. Love my Fiesta.

I tried Fiesta but it just didn't work for our family. They did scratch, but mostly, they were heavier than I expected (bought online). My wrists just couldn't handle the weight to use them everyday. So we ended up using paper plates... I sold them and am looking for a more lightweight set of dishes. I'm still kinda bummed because I loved them! But if I can't grab four dinner plates now, what will it be like for me in 10-15+ years?

Oh my. I can't believe I read the title and thought you were talking about some special carnival. Like San Antonio Fiesta. It seemed too early to plan.
I love dishes, I read all of the Fiesta color threads- even though I don't collect.
It was like misunderstanding "Tim Holtz Dies". I am airhead.

Fiesta ware at Goodwill? Lucky you. I look every time I go in. I got lucky a couple of months back & found a place setting at a thrift store, in Marigold! I paid 15.00 for the setting, all pieces were there & they had the box. Score!
