She should be friends with Victoria Beckham. They can hang out together and not make each other laugh or smile.

Nope. I'm only 8 years younger than her, I don't have wrinkles and I laugh and smile plenty. What a miserable life to lead, all for vanity.

No way in the world would I forego smiling for fear of getting wrinkled.
And the sad thing (for her?) At 49, I have almost the exact same complexion/amount of wrinkles that she does and I am a grinning fool most of the time. I do have a few more lines at the corners of my eyes, but where I am is bright and even in sunglasses you can get squinty.
I have a pretty simple simple routine, wash with Dove soap (the old fashioned bar kind) and Oil of Olay (the cheap kind in the white bottle.) It works really well for me.
I am not going to stop smiling because of vanity.

You can't stop aging. I'd rather have a face that reflects a life well lived. (Having said that - I avoid the sun because I burn easily, so I'm limiting the sun damage I'll have.)

I am 20 years younger than her and have more wrinkles. I'm ok with that. I'm a very expressive person and I would hate to lose that part of myself due to vanity.

Life's too short for that nonsense. And if that woman thinks she looks young she's only fooling herself.

You may consider which is better - looking younger or feeling/living younger. C'mon, have a laugh!

I have "Resting Bitch Face" ... no lines on my face at 48 ... I'll go with that

A smile can take years off you so I!ll go with that rather than looking miserable my whole life. Weird.

To never smile at or laugh with your child, I just don't get it!

She might actually be stunning if she smiled. She looks devoid of life in those photos. And her lips are oddly languishing on her face.

I think she's crazy. Research shows that the more you laugh the longer you live. I plan to live long and laugh much!

I feel sorry for her, actually. I can't imagine a life without belly laughs, squinting at a camera, my face scrunching up when I cry, giving my DH a stink eye. Do I have wrinkles? Sure, and it's okay.

She still looks like she's about 50 years old so I don't know how much being a sourpuss actually helped her.

I would WAY rather have the wrinkles than spend 40+ years of my life looking like a a b*tch. I bet she would be really beautiful if she smiled.

I think she looks 50. She should meet some of my friends. They're in their late 50s early 60s and look younger than she does without any help and we laugh until we cry, puke or pee on a regular basis I think nothing is more beautiful than a big genuine smile!

She looks young.
In the pictures of her that were taken when she was young.
If I were that vain, I'd rather get Botox and at least try to smile effectively.

I agree that she still looks 50, so I'm not sure it's working the way she thinks.

Stupid and ridiculous.
And someone who is going to fall apart at every single sign of aging.

She's full of it if she thinks she doesn't spontaneously laugh or smile.

Smiling? No. But I'm over 30 and even with retinol, sunscreen and moisturizers, the wrinkles are coming on my forehead and around my eyes and lips. I am not happy about it, but if it really bothers me in 20 years, I'll think about doing something then.
I do try to be conscious of squinting or looking surprised by raising my eyebrows. I don't mind 'happy wrinkles' as much as I do angry ones. I actually like smile lines. The 11s between my eyes? Not so much.

To use a movie quote: Get busy living or get busy dying.
In other words if your not living then what are you doing? Taking up space waiting to die? IMHO WTF is the point of being here if not to smile, to laugh, to experience joy whenever it's at all possible? Everyone has trials and tribulations, but if you never ever get to find the flip side once in a while then how horrible would that be?
Gosh I feel so sorry for her.

That's one of the most ridiculous things I've read. She should be friends with Victoria Beckham. They can hang out together and not make each other laugh or smile. Haha!! I was really surprised the other day when I saw an Ali G interview with Posh and Becks on TV, and she was actually smiling and laughing throughout the whole interview. What a change from her normal dour face! It was back in 2006 mind you, and I don’t think she’s cracked a smile since then.
