Has anyone ever made a cannoli dip? Do you have a recipe to share? Actually, any tried and true sweet dip recipe you want to share?

What's the occasion? I don't usually make sweet dips, I prefer spinach dip or veggie dip but I've been wanting to try the brownie dip.

There are several of us who bring food-but we are all assigned a sweet or a savory. I, who happen to be suffering a wicked case of PMS, was most fortunately assigned to bring a sweet. I'm not sure where the cannoli thing came from, but now it is stuck like a broken record in my brain. I bake a lot, so I can always whip up some brownies or a cake or cookies, but the cannoli thing. STUCK. IN. BRAIN.

I got a pumpkin dip from someone here. I think it was Sam (Chopped Liver). Mix together 1 can of pumpkin, 1 block of cream cheese, 1 jar of marshmallow fluff, and a teaspoon of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. It's great with graham crackers, ginger snaps, or vanilla wafers.

I would go with ricotta, powdered sugar and cream.

Mm, cannoli dip sounds yum. I hope someone has a good recipe for something like that. This is a favorite of mine: Apple Brickle Dip

One of our favorites is Toblerone dip. Just melt a bar (or 2) of Toblerone and when it has cooled slightly, mix in some cream. Serve with fruit. Really delicious. The ratio of chocolate to cream varies a lot on the recipes I've seen. there are some that use 100g Toblerone to 300ml cream, and some that are 200g Toblerone to 150ml cream. I personally like a higher ratio of chocolate (of course!!).

What kind of cream?

I made one I found on Pinterest and it was really good. I believe that most of the recipes you'll find there are pretty much the same.
I served mine with pieces of waffle cone and vanilla wafers, if I remember correctly. Make it ahead of time so it has time to sit and thicken a bit in the fridge.

I'm late to the party here, as it sounds like you've got multiple tasty options. Plus my suggestion is not a dip. But this crossed my Facebook feed the other day and caught my eye. It's mini caramel apples. Think cake pops...they took Granny Smith apples, and used a melon baller to scoop half-circles of apple out. Insert popsicle stick. Dip in caramel, and then any number of toppings--crushed Oreos or M&Ms, nuts, sprinkles, you name it. Now I'm hungry.

Lighthouse brand salad dressing and dips make a chocolate dip sauce. It is amazing. They also make a caramel one, too. It, to is amazing. I would just dip the cannoli in that if you can get it in your area.

I have no idea what half and half cream is, so I guess I'd have to say whipping cream! I wouldn't even know how to explain the difference-other than whipping cream goes on top of chocolate mousse and half and half goes in my coffee. But I will go with whipping cream because...whipping cream. You can't mess the stuff up.

Ha, I'm on same page as lainey. This is an E veil thread! How do I not know about brownie dips? Do brownies last long enough in your homes to be made into sauce? Please tell me more.
