Today was the first day I saw these!
They're adorable, but I resisted because I wasn't sure if they take the same cards or do you have to buy specific kits for those? They look like regular 4x6 and 3x4 pockets but they didn't have a sample (everything was packaged) so I wasn't sure.
Do you do 6x8 PL? Do you like it? What are the limitations / possibilities with this size?

If you are talking about the PL albums in this size, yes, they take the same size cards and could be used with any of the core PL kits Becky Higgins or Simple Stories sells. I have used 6x8 albums for gifts or special albums from a family vacation, etc. when there was a specific project I wanted to finish quickly. I love the smaller size as more accessible for kids, but unless you really did a pared down PL, I don't see it working for an entire year's album. That said, I'm sure someone has done it and loved it and it looks great, I just don't know about it.

I'm using 6x8 for my PL full year album. My entire year is going in this binder-no excuses. Yep, I pared down. I was unable to find enough crap to fill a 12x12 and I failed twice by trying to do that. It has worked fabulously for me. I use a couple digital templates to get 4 or 6 pics on a 3x4 or 4x6 photo - it's awesome. LOL. I don't do that all the time, but when I have an event (like graduation), it's so nice to be able to do that. This is my "scrapbook" for the year for my family. I don't intend it to be an archival album where all my precious photos will go. I have online digital storage and prints for that. This small format has allowed me to be successful in my PL endeavor without ever being "behind" or worrying about "catching up". I use it as I wish, but generally, I am using one side of a page protector (so, either 3 or 4 pockets) for a week. If I don't have anything happening, I might take up more space with an event or vacation, etc. There are many people doing this in the small format, and not just for vacations or events. Mine is really perfect for me. I just picked up some SNAP page protectors that have 12 2x2 pockets on one page! This is for vacation layouts in my album I think. I can have 24 photos or memorabilia (or embellishments) in ONE page protector! As far as limitations go, it's only your imagination that will limit you here. Even the large albums aren't enough for some people-I belong to a group that, back in April, more than one person said they had started on a SECOND 12x12 album. That will never work for me, lol. Just do what you enjoy, but if the small format appeals to you, give it a try!

I'm using one of the smaller albums right now to document a vacation my DS took with his grandmother to DC. It's a perfect size for smaller projects. I like having the different page protectors to choose from.

I'm also using 6x8 for my trip to Aruba last year. I take a million pictures and was worried it might not work, but I love it! I find it much easier than 12x12.

Do the PL 6x8 page protectors fit in an AC &/or WRMK 12x12 3-ring album? TIA.

Wannapea, those 12-photo protectors might be enough to make me want to switch to 6x8! I wish BH would have more variety of photo sizes. I want to do square photos more easily!

I LOVE the 6x8 size! The full size album was just too overwhelming for me and I was getting nowhere. The smaller size is much more manageable for me.

I'm using this size for our summer album. There are four configurations of pockets, which I really love. There are even full page pockets that allow little mini layouts. Love it.

I really like the look of the 6 x 8 size too. If I hadn't decided to go digital, this is the size I would have used for documenting my stuff. No way I'd be able to fill a full 12 x 12!

I haven't scrapbooked in years & I'm seriously considering starting a PL album in this size. Stampin' Up! has partnered with Becky Higgins & created kits, stamps, embellishments, etc... for 6x8 & 12x12 that match all of my SU! stuff. After reading all of y'all's responses to really liking this size I think I'm going to take the plunge. Thanks!!

There are a few Pinterest boards now dedicated to 6x8 Project Life. There are some really great ideas here! Project Life 6x8

I'll have to take a closer look at this size - I think it could be a fun size for my granddaughter.

Thanks for the feedback, all! I did find some great examples searching Pintrest. This looks really interesting and I think I'll try it out. I found a great video by Melissa Stinson on youtube here: 6x8 VideoShe shares her process with 6x8 and talks about some of the advantages of doing this size.

So for those who do this size, do you use the BH albums? I've also seen the Simple Stories ones which look good. And how many pages do you reckon fit in one album? I think I might treat myself to a physical album as well as doing digi layouts.

I was thinking about going to this until I remember. I would still need a 12x12 for regular pages and ends up deciding against it. But I bet it will be super cute.

I'm liking the 12x12 size for my regular album and Disney album I'm currently working on but I can think of a few projects where I'd like to try the 6x8 size. My only challenge would be the lack of 4x6 vertical photo options. I tend to take more of my photos in the portrait orientation vs. landscape and while I know I can still print those as 3x4s, I feel like I'll be bummed that I can't easily make them bigger unless I cut them to span over 2 pockets.

You could just use the all in one 6 x 8 size and arrange your photos and cards on it as you like?

Studio Calico Handbooks are also this size. Yes, these smaller page protectors fit in the 12x12 albums- great for inserts! I think Snap page protectors have the most variety in page options but I really just use styles BH has (four 3x4s, two 3x4s+ one 4x6, two 4x6, or one 6x8).

What are you favorite albums in this size? I just bought a Simple Stories leather album. I saw some good reviews on them and liked the look.

I absolutely love the 6x8 size! I don't use it for my annual PL albums, but I love it for various smaller albums. I have done our honeymoon album and December Daily in 6x8.

I love the 6x8 size also. I used it for my DD the last two years. I used the Snap ones, but the PL and Snap ones work together really well (the page protectors, etc)

I did get some Snap page protectors as well as the album, but will check out some of the PL 6 x 8 configurations as well

...Yes, these smaller page protectors fit in the 12x12 albums- great for inserts!... Thanks for answering. I bought two packs of 6x8 & one of divided 6x8 protectors on clearance at Michael's for this purpose!

I picked up 3 binders and a ton of pages when they went on clearance at Michael's and will use one for my 2015 story. 12 x 12 was too much and I became overwhelmed! I've always been a fan of smaller formats so I think this size will be perfect. The other two I have some plans for...vacation and school...but that may change

I do PL weekly and couldn't fit a year into a 6x8 size. I do love the 6x8 size for mini albums though! I'm using one to document our camping stories. It's perfect.
