When I was at the water park last w/e, I didn't have my glasses with me and couldn't read a posted menu. A woman in line with me offered me her glasses and they were very close to my rx. I started asking her about them and she told ne she ordered them online for REALLY cheap. I remembered the name of the site began with "Z", so I'm thinking it might be Zenni.
Since I currently don't have vision on my insurance plan, something I had for years, I would LOVE to find an affordable place to purchase glasses. Plus, at the prices she quoted, I could easily afford rx glasses AND rx sunglasses, something I've never had before.
So, I'm wondering, does anyone have experience with this company?

I haven't but my best friend did, Sbe got 6 pairs and loved them. Absolutely no issues. Just make sure the measuremen you seen in are accurate
She would buy there again without a doubt

I've used Warby Parker, but it's a bit more expensive than Zenni. I paid $220 because I have a stronger Rx, but most people only pay $95. Their customer service was great and you can try 5 pairs on at home before you buy. I get them adjusted at Walmart for free.
I am really happy with them, but I do think the ones I spent much more on and had selected and fitted at my local shop are more comfortable. The lens quality is also much better on my higher quality glasses which I didn't realize until I started wearing them again. For the price, though, I love my Warbys (they're fun!).

I have used them for years. Mine cost about $20-$30 per pair!

May I ask if the lenses were thin? I have a pretty strong RX and last time I paid for thinner lenses there really wasn't a difference.

I've gotten a number of pairs from them. I get my son the lenses that change color outdoors. First pair was $35, and that included postage.i just got him a new pair and splurged and got him the $9,95 frames this time. $39 for this pair. . A friend's husband accidentally broke a new pair from Sears. He ordered from Zenni and liked the pair from Zenni better than the Sears pair.

I have ordered with them, and had no problems. I would definitely use them again.

I did order from them. I liked one pair of glasses I got at the time but I'll tell you the mistakes we made. I wouldn't order from them now that I need progressive lenses. I think there's too much room for error.
Make sure your measurements are correct. Not just pupil measurements. You want to make sure the glasses fit the width of your head (my rx sunglasses were cute but too snug). Also check the length of the arm. I got dh a pair of glasses and he never wore them because the arm was short.
I think they can work out really nicely for you. Just make sure you do your homework.

I have ordered from them. I was very pleased with them. I would only do single vision lenses though. You need to be measured by someone else in a real frame for a bifocal.

Both my kids wear glasses & I buy all their glasses at Zenni. I will say on a couple of occasions we have bought metal frames & they have been so thin that you just knew they would break in no time. Let me say since I'm buying them for kids I know they are gonna get lost/broken so I only buy the cheap frames. My expectations are pretty low. If I were buying them for myself I wouldn't be buying the $9.99 frames.

I haven't ordered from Zenni, but I have used Coastal.com. We have 4 pairs of their glasses and they are great. I had a few questions before I placed my first order and their customer service department was helpful.

I have ordered from Zenni and Coastal. The plastic frames on Zenni were definitely lower quality, but I was fine with that for my needs. Still look great but feel lighter and thinner, probably wouldn't hold up to a ton of abuse. DH ordered some as well, metal, and they don't seem low quality, he has worn them daily for a couple years and they are still good. The lenses for both of us were great. We did upgrade since we have strong prescriptions, I think they came out around $30-$40 maybe.
The Coastal frames are absolutely as good or nicer as anything you'd get at an optometrist's office or lenscrafters. Very very solid. I think I paid closer to $90 for those. That would be my choice is I was looking for daily full-time wear glasses.

I have two pairs from zenni that I am really happy with. It took me a couple of tries to get the measurements right but now I have a range that fits my face properly. Except for one pair that felt light and delicate, the quality has been comparable to glasses I bought in a local store. If you decide to order, check for coupons as they had a discount for my first order and they are partnered with ebates for 4% back.

I bought two pair from Zenni. The one pair I wear all the time, but the second pair are a little bit too small for my liking. Definitely take measurements of your current glasses. It's easy to just pick out pairs you like on there, but you must pay attention to the sizing. I would also recommend taking a straight on photo of your face and loading it to the site so you can virtually try on glasses. I found that to be super helpful.

I bought a pair from them last year. I've been wearing them daily for a solid year now and they're great. I have a bifocal in one lens only and I had no problem with it. I paid about $85 with shipping but I think my frames were about $30 and I got the bifocal without a line. I'd order from them again!

I need new glasses and I was wondering about how to get the sizing and the pupil measurements. I've lost a lot of weight so my current glasses are way too big; I can't get the sizing off of those.

We use them pretty frequently for the kids' glasses, as those are lost so frickin' frequently. I've had a few pairs of them myself, too. They don't generally last as long (screws fall out, frames break, lenses fall out), but for the price, they're worth it for us. I find that for myself, I only use them on the rare occasions I feel like something more crazy than I'd be willing to pay a regular retail place for.

DH and I just got our glasses from Zenni in the mail yesterday. We both have progressive lenses and they change colors outside (can't think what that's called) and I have the high index because I have a very strong perscription. My DH also got the special oil/fingerprint repulsing coaating. At a local shop I was quoted over $400 for just me. We got the two pair for just over $200. I thought it was a good deal.

Yes, both DH and I have been using them for a while now. I've bought several pairs of glasses from them, and never had a problem with any of them.
I was skeptical about Zenni, but after being quoted close to $400 for my glasses at a chain eyeglass store, I found exactly what I was looking for at Zenni for about $50 and decided to give them a try. The glasses were great, so I have only bought from them since.

I bought my kids rx sunglasses from there, and I bought myself a pair of computer glasses. Everything we've gotten has been great.

I'll be the lone dissenter, I order two pairs of glasses from Zenni and didn't like them at all. I liked the frames, but the lenses have a strange curve to them, and I feel like I am looking through a fishbowl. The two times I wore them, I has a headache after an hour.

I just paid $115 for frames, high index progressive lenses with coatings, and express shipping. Will absolutely use them again.

I'm about to take the plunge, myself.
I have two friends who only order through Zenni. Both wear progressives full-time (i.e. not as a break from contacts). They are stylish gals who like to have several pairs of glasses on hand.

I just ordered for my daughter from coastal.com. They are due to be here on 9/21/15. I was just thinking though...how do I get the parts that go behind her ears adjusted now?

I've had great luck with regular glasses there. Last time I ordered progressives though and they really messed them up. Since you can't get a refund, I'm not sure I would order anything more complicated than a regular prescription.

I've ordered a few pairs. They aren't my favourite, but they are fun frames. I see better out of my more expensive ones, and sometimes get a headache from the Zenni ones if I wear them all day. It might be all in my head though, LOL.
Like everyone else said, just check measurements. I have a "perfect" pair of glasses for my face, so I use those measurements and when I look online try to match those as close as possible. I've never had a problem with them fitting ill.
I got prescription sunglasses this summer for $12 from there and I love them. Can't go wrong!

My husband and I have both used Zenni for several pair of bifocals. We've had great success and will continue to order from them when needed. Maybe I should add that both of us have metal frames.

I have 4 pair, clear 10% gray, 50% and 80% I believe! I got all the same frames and got an extra frame. I went by the measurements of my best fitting glasses AND ordered JUST a frame first to see if I liked the frame. I have a strong prescription, did NOT pay for the super thin glasses but these are thinner than my other ones anyway. Yes, the metal frame is NOT quite as tough but the main pair lasted 2 years but remember, I have the extra frame! I'm broken hearted that they discontinued my frame and I don't see anything else I like that FITS me.
I'm very surprised that they got my prescription right, TWICE I've gotten it WRONG from the people that charged me a fortune! I lucked out and hopefully you will too.
