Hi, y'all!
I am going to be in Ann Arbor for a couple of days at the end of the week. Any casual restaurants you would recommend?
There are a couple of deli's that I found on the internet that have awesome menus, that I'm interested in, but I figured that the Peas would have the best recommendations!
It it will be just me, so casual is good. I'll be by the campus, so college hangouts would be fine.

Yes! That was one of the deli's! Being a Los Angeles Jew, I can't tell you how much I love and miss good deli food. Northern VA stinks for deli food. So, that is one vote for Zingerman's.  |

Is there anyplace other than Zingerman's in A2? Lol! That is my top choice. The Mac and cheese is to die for! Yum! Another place to try is Gandy Dancers and Mark's Carts on W. Washington. Have fun!

Seva used to be one of my favorite places for vegetarian fare. (And yes, I love Zingermans)

There is a difference between Zingerman's and Zingerman's Roadhouse. I prefer Zingerman's downtown not the Roadhouse and yes it is pricey. I also like the Prickly Pear but haven't been in a long time.

Hubby and I were just going over the menu, and it seems as if I am going to have to go there for all of my free meals to get all my "wants/needs" in. Corned beef, knishes, blintzes, bagels, matzo ball soup, and so on.  |

My daughter attends Michigan so we've been to quite a few restaurants in Ann Arbor. Most of my favorites are on Washington Street. Frita Batidos is my favorite casual spot. Other favorites are Grizzly Peaks and the Blue Tractor, Cafe Zola, Lena, tapas at Aventura. For a fancier experience I would choose The Chop House.
