Ok...so I haven't looked at the link, but I know it says 100 people. It may be too late for this idea, but I'm throwing it out there to maybe help.
Why does this only have to be for Christmas?
What if a list was started for Fall cards (or maybe it's too late for that).
New Year's Winter Valentine Spring St. Patrick's Etc
Maybe by adding more holidays others would sign up for a different holiday.
A few years in a row I sent out Spring cards. Everyone who got them was thrilled as they actually enjoyed getting something at an "off" time from Christmas.
I hope this helps someone!

Good idea. Birthday cards would be fun but since there are so many, we would have to have something set up. I have no idea as to how that could work - but I'm sure someone might have some suggestions. Just a thought since most love to receive birthday cards.

I don't know if I have a say since I'm not signed up for the swap, but I like your idea OP.

FYI...I didn't sign up for the swap either. I thought about it and now with the numbers being so large I thought I'd put it out there.

I had actually mentioned towards the end of the first Christmas card thread that we could maybe add in our dates of birth if we would be happy to receive birthday cards too. It was too near the end of the thread to be noticed! We don't really celebrate other events with cards in the UK, apart from maybe Valentine's Day, and that's still more low key than in the US. TBH, I would prefer to receive birthday cards over Christmas ones; my peeps tend to forget my birthday.

If someone wants to start a different card swap, go for it! Personally, I don't want to run it because I think it would be a lot of upkeep - with the Christmas Card swap, I don't have to check that the addresses are the same or that people are still interested months after they sign up. The important thing to remember about the Christmas Card swap is that you don't have to send to everyone!! Yes, there will be some that send to the entire list, but there will be even more that won't.
