One should never read all the other vents before typing one's own vent, because then one feels petty and small compared to other's troubles.
But here goes anyway - When you sign up to hold your child's birthday party at a venue please write down the time you reserved and remember to tell the guests that time. When you sign up for 6 p.m. and show up at 6 p.m., but tell all your guests 6:30, your child is going to be very sad that all her friends are not showing up for her party. And the business owner is going to be pissed that you've just added 30 minutes to the party but don't want to pay for the extra 30 minutes.
Also, don't sign up for a 2:30 party but show up at 1:45 because "well, we were running errands and got done early." You got lucky this time because I didn't have a party in the slot before yours and you could sit in the space and twiddle your thumbs, but that might not always be the case.
And parents, please, please, exit the space quickly when your party is done. Don't stand in the middle of my studio, talking loudly to your departing guests, while ignoring your children who are now crawling around under my display tables. This is your child's birthday party, not a chance to catch up on gossip with all your friends. I have other customers in the studio during this time and they need to be able to pick out projects, get paint, etc., without dodging your crowd. Either be in the party space or out the door.
I grumble, but actually the parties are usually really fun, and the parents are usually very kind and appreciative of the fact that they don't have to deal with the mess and the crowd at their house.

I found out today that my friend died unexpectedly. Not one of my best friends but still somebody that was there for me and I was there for her. I'm glad she knew I loved her. My vent is the GOSSIP machine. Other people who as far as I know had very little to do with her, why do you feel the need to be the one to shout the news? I'm so grateful that our mutual good friend called me or I would have been floored. I had 3 other people come to me, "did you hear about so and so?" I just said yes and kept my head down and kept walking.

On my days off, I clean the house from top to bottom, fold and put away all the laundry that DH washed (usually 4-6 loads), grocery shop and cook (and clean after). When DH has a day off, he maybe cooks a meal, mows the lawn if it needs it, washes his work clothes (but doesn't fold or put them away) and that's it. But usually he sits his ass on the couch and watches Netflix and plays Clash of Clans. The only reason he cooks is because he'd starve otherwise. His excuse is that he rarely has more than one day off in a row while I often have 3+ but since I spend 2-3 days getting the house back in order it really only feels like 1. He claims he's tired. Me too!!! Yet I'm still the only one who does the bulk of the cleaning. Mine only washes his clothes.

The Broncos are playing right now and Fear the Walking Dead is on in 8 minutes. If DH hadn't gotter a promotion, he'd be at work right now and i could have the big TV without having to lock him off.
I can't decide whether to let him watch or not.

The spawn of Satan my dad was married to reneged on her promise to bring his photos back from central texas today because it was possible rain. In fact she told her daughter she may not be back until Thursday because of chances of rain. That would give me maybe Thursday night and Friday night to go through all the photos, decide which ones to use, scan and then assemble the slideshow for Sunday afternoon. I was tempted to drove the 3-plus hours each way myself but my sister decided she would and scan them for me tomorrow. She called SOS beforehand (which I wouldn't have done). SOS had my cousin's widow who lives next door meet my sister at the porch to make sure there was no trouble (now I know not to trust him for much). She gave my sister the two trash bags she had dumped the photos in.
Oh, and the obituary was NOT in today's paper like it should have. The funeral home got the obit at noon Thursday and the deadline was 6pm Saturday - plenty of time. I will be tearing them a new one tomorrow.
This is hard enough without all the added crap.

Apparently I am the only one in this household of 3 adults that is able to load the dishwasher. Both sinks were full of dishes last night. Plus how hard is it to rinse that big glob of ketchup off your plates? Gross.
Also the 2 neighbors that live in the elbow had garage sales this weekend. They have no parking in front of their houses so they parked one of their crappy cars in front of my house right between the fire hydrant and my mailbox. I was hoping they would get a ticket, but they didn't.

I told you that I'd let you know as soon as I heard anything. I tell you that every day when you contact me. If you haven't heard from me, that means I haven't heard any info. Please stop calling me. I promise I will contact you AS SOON AS I HAVE INFO.

I just want one day to be quiet and to be able to do what I need to do. This day is already ruined. That is all.

My vent list is pretty long this morning, on top of it is Facebook. I do not understand why all this junk my friends "like" pops up constantly. I have felt sad/sick/ugh since MY friend "liked" one of HER friend's hunting photos. I really, REALLY do not want to see that poor animal and all the close up shots of every angle of the blood the animal the everything. Oh, and the other day..... a woman posted a picture of her goopy infected surgery site.

A member of my family is really pissing me off. Watching how she is hurting her parents is making my heart hurt, so I can only imagine how they feel.

Dear Facebook Friends, If you don't agree with Facebook's terms & conditions then leave Facebook. Posting some garbage to your timeline doesn't mean that you can pick and choose which of their terms and conditions you agree with.
