If so how many do you make and when will you begin?
I have thought about doing this but when it comes down to it I just don't have the time or motivation.

I usually make my own, but with full time work and full time school this year... Mine will probably come from Target.
Maybe next year.

This will be my fourth year sending out about 60 cards. I only do the Anna Griffin card kits...they are gorgeous and so easy. People love getting them. You can only find them on hsn.

No. I would love to, but in order to really enjoy it I would need to start very, very early. As in I already should be doing it. It's one of those things I put on the "When my kids are grown" list. It would be nice, but it's not important enough to me to rearrange my current priority list for my "me" time.

Yes! I have a few ideas but haven't narrowed it down yet - I will probably end up doing a variety, if I start early I'll be able to get them done. Pinterest has ruined me!

No. They were causing me stress and I wasn't enjoying it. So I skip xmas cards now. Don't regret that decision at all.

I do. I'm actually pinteresting holiday cards as I go to a crop next weekend. I usually crop again in October and try to complete them then. I only do about 20-25 so it's not that big of a deal. I'm leaning toward this one this year: Here

If you go to all the trouble of making cards does it bother you that many will just toss them in the trash eventually??

Yes. I'm a Heritage Makers distributor so I'll use one of our templates and will do them end of Nov/first of Dec. I customize them for my clients, so they get first dibs at my time

Yes but it's a photo card I'll create in Photoshop that may also be a baby announcement introducing our newest family member as he'll be born a few months before.

I make a dozen or so unique ones that get hand delivered and 80-100 mass produced that are mailed. I cut back a few years ago, but we got a few complaints which made me laugh because none of the complainers were sending out cards. The design will include a photo and family update and I start thinking about it in Oct and want them in the mail by the end of Thanksgiving weekend. They honestly only take a few nights to put together (usually in front of the TV) and we get great feedback on them. Our family letter is a little nontraditional - one year it was a Haiku for each of us

Yes, I'll make about 40, but mine are super simple. Embossed design on pearlescent cardstock; stamped sentiment inside.

bethany1023 - those cards are cute!! I might try those as well! I always say I'm starting in June in order to get a few done by December but so far, so bad. We are in the midst of moving however, so I claim that as my current excuse.

For the past several years, I've just done a 1 page photo sheet of various photos throughout the year with little to no commentary other than maybe a location or a date. People seem to like it because it gives a good review of our year but isn't like a braggy Christmas letter. I've been putting them inside purchased cards the last few years, but I might make cards this year since I just got a Silhouette and it's a good excuse to play with it.

kinda, sorta! We do photo cards and design them and have them print. Homemade not really but we do create them and have someone else produce them.

40 (I make 30 for myself and ten for my mom). I don't mind if a recipient tosses their card, I only put an amazing amount of effort on two cards my mom sends. Those two cards have been saved and framed the last five years, then brought out at Christmas.

No. I'm still using my cards I made in 2007. That's when I stopped scrapping. I have quite a few cards left.

I usually do. I need to start thinking of ideas and get started on them earlier this year. I already know I will be working overtime in December because my only co-worker is going to have knee replacement surgery. I usually start them in October so I may need to push that up a couple of weeks.

Yes I will, in November. I usually do around 32, and it only takes me a few hours. I don't care if people throw them away.

I'm leaning toward this one this year: HereBethany1023, those cards are adorable! I'm sure the recipients will love them. I always say that I'm going to make handmade cards "next Christmas," but I never seem to sit down and actually DO them. So, I always send out store-bought cards, instead. I enjoy making handmade gifts, though, and I usually spend a lot of time working on those items. I'm preparing to start sewing some Christmas gifts soon, because I'd rather not be stressing about getting everything finished and mailed, come December! ~Ronda

Yes. I usually start around the middle/end of August because we send quite a few internationally and they have to be in the post by the beginning of December at the latest. I make around 50, all kinds of style; And no, it doesn't bother me that people will probably put them in the trash afterwards!

I usually only make about 6-10 cards for friends who also make cards. Otherwise I buy charity cards for everyone else.
