In an effort to get this board moving, share your latest creation. Here is a bit of what I shared on my blog this morning. I will share another one later this week since I created two yesterday. I plan to do another after church today too. I LOVE gettin' messy with paint. Your Story

I love this piece. I was going to pin it but me and Pinterest aren't communicating lately (password problems), I'll try again later. Thanks for sharing.

@patter. Thanks for helping get this board going. Your work is gorgeous! Wouldn't you love to be able to have a cup of coffee and flip through someone's art journal, while they flipped through yours?
I have been an avid art journaler for years, back before it was a thing to do. I don't have any current work to share (I've lost a bit of my mojo), although I am doing a week of "art camp" with my mother in law this week and I'm hoping to find it again. Hopefully by the end of the week, I'll be able to post something too!

I just left you some "love" on your blog - thanks for the video link up! Really need to do this I'm sharing a mini glass jar project I did for Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft using their Glass Bead Glitter Gel (the blue part), gelatos, whipped spackle and few other of their products. Loved how this turned out...if I do say so myself, esp. when I had no idea how it would turn out! LOL!! Beachy Glass Bead Glitter Gel Glass Jar*Click the image for a larger view

Shutterspeedgirl, I hope you find your mojo at art camp. That sounds fun!!! When I feel that way, I watch a video. That's what helped me get back in the mood. I am now on my 3rd page since yesterday! The wonders a video can do! Margie, thanks for the love. And I had seen your jar the other day when I left a comment. Truly very beautiful. And I hope you have fun with Roben-Marie's video. I have taken MANY classes with her. She is truly my favorite! Be sure to share what you create!

Hey Patter and everyone! I am so happy to see we have some mixed media art journaling gals over here. Lately I wanted to try larger paper to do my drawings and paintings. It was fun having so much space to work in.
I didn't add a title or do any journaling on this one but it does speak a message of rest and peace. I used acrylic paints, colored pencils, watercolor crayons, bottle top to make the circles and my stencil to make the wrap designs. Stop my blog for more pictures and info. Thanks for looking.

Using some lyrics from a Rammstein song, I drew the shark and created Haifisch. Full post and info

Patter- Oh thanks so much. After I posted I have spent the last minutes trying to figure out how to post my picture here! LOL! But finally figured it out. Thanks for checking it out. Also, I love all the layers and shapes you used along with the colors. Plus the journaling is so good. I quote to really live by. Awesome!
Margie- Your jar is so pretty. Lovely work!
Aeryn- This is so cool! I like all the dimension you added like the sequins. The drawing of the shark is so good too. Great job!

Thanks, gals! I'm glad you like it. I'm really diverting myself towards the drawing/painting/"real art" part of all these crafting supplies and it's so fun! Plus, new sequin obsession!
Margie - love the effect you got on that little jar. Kelly - your painting came out great. I like the flow you created across her with the white circles.

Anyone working on anything today? I plan on getting to my art table later today and see what happens. I have three projects on the end of my desk waiting for me to finish them. Two need Cameo cuts, so I'm putting that off, and one needs a LOT of work that I'm, if I'm honest, a little intimidated by. Not just some drawing to do, but a jumble of ideas in my head. WHY am I so attracted to space and yet so terrified to depict it?! Sadly, my desk is covered in stamps and stamp organisation that MUST be done so I'm not sure when I'll get to create anything. Maybe by avoiding these projects I'm making them better for later. I hope that's the case.

My project today was more about the process than the final outcome....which is looking a little preschoolish comparatively. Alas, we shall NOT compare so as not to steal the joy!!! And....there's a process video!

Marianne - I agree, we shall not compare. There's no point to it since the point of art/mixed media is not the same for any of us. I love your piece. It's bright, and fun, and I like the chicken wire type shape on your canvas. Really adds to it.

I LOVE the colors, how you did the clouds, the house, all of it!!! That's what I love about mixed media--we can all have such different styles. I love seeing and learning from everyone's style. Thank you for sharing!

I'll try to figure out how to post pics no promises If you have your photo posted on a blog, FB, or Photobucket just right click the photo, select "copy image location", and then come here to click the little icon that looks like a photo in the posting window. That'll give you a place to paste your link and put the photo in the thread. Also, we'll just follow a link if you like, hehe.
