I'm usually pretty low key about my personal, life, but DH said the nicest thing to me this afternoon, and I wanted to share.
Two months ago today, I had a mastectomy. Yesterday, I finally found a new boob. DH gave me a random look this afternoon and told me how perfect I looked. Just about made me cry, and certainly made me feel great! He's been super supportive.
Anybody say something nice to you today?

Oh excellent! So nice of him to say that! Dh and I were shopping today, he found something he wanted that was quite expensive. I said get it, the salesperson said dude you are lucky to have her. So I guess that counts as a compliment!

One of my old students found me on FB and said she was happy to hear I got to retire but that those fifth graders were really going to miss out on her favorite teacher. It was super sweet. Husbands. Mine doesn't always say the right thing, but I do know that he tries. Thankfully I am pretty dang low maintenance (I think). But when it really counts, he's got my back. Glad your husband had yours (or front ) today!

What a sweet thing for him to say! And you are perfect!
My niece told me I looked thin yesterday.....and I was feeling pretty plump at the time! Some people have the gift for knowing what you need to hear---even when you do not know you need it! She made me remember we see ourselves differently than others see us and that sometimes we are not our own best friends!

That is really sweet. I hope that you're feeling well. I had been taking Arimidex for 18 months and at my last visit with my oncologist two weeks ago we were talking about the horrible joint pain I'm having. He told me to take a few weeks off and then we're going to try another medication. Today we were grocery shopping and the lace on my sneaker was coming loose. I told dh I had to stop to tie it and he bent down and had me put my foot on his leg and tied it. A woman was walking by and said "now that is love." I told her that it sure was! So not so much saying the right thing but knowing how I feel and doing something so simple but meaningful

What does find a new boob mean? It means a prosthetic breast. It took two days off work and two trips to different cities to find one that worked. Plus, finding bras that fit was more challenging than expected.

Glad you found one you like, and happy to hear it's getting rave reviews
