When my boys were younger (about ages 4-7)they rode, competed in a few races..even my husband started first time ever at age 35. We quit after a few years, was an expensive upkeep. Well they recently got bikes again.. and one of our best friends own a track about 20 minutes away. My youngest was in his first race this past Saturday My oldest and I worked the race...then Sunday we spent the day out there again I myself won't get on a bike..I'm content to ride around with my friend in her truck, walking the track to take pics and maybe troll on the four wheeler! So...anyone else a moto mom!?

Not a motocross 'mom' but my dh rides. He had bikes growing up, then went decades without riding. Several years ago he got back into it. He doesn't race, he's almost 50 now and feels the responsibility of being a provider and doesn't want the risk. Especially since the body doesn't heal the way it used to. There's a good track about a half hour away and he joined that club. It is nice that he has a hobby he enjoys, he's made some new friends, and it makes it easy to find gifts for his birthday and Christmas. I enjoy going to the track to watch the races sometimes, and I am always amazed at how fearless the kids are! Coincidentally, he was working at his track Saturday too, as a flag man, then went riding Sunday. Nice photos and good to see that everyone is wearing their safety gear!

My son has raced hare scrambles for over ten years. It's his sport with his dad (divorced) so I don't go. He moved up to 150cc and adult class this year (13-22 actually) and finished the season in fourth, four points behind third and ten points behind second. I'm so proud of him because of mature decisions he had to make because of another racer. Took the high road and just raced his race. (Not my picture, I bought the file from the professional).

They are complete with safety gear! Only way they are allowed to ride...
