Where do you buy laserjet printable transparencies - in Canada? I've seen a lot of techniques lately using printable transparencies and either a laminator or Heidi Swapp Minc that look amazing, but I don't know what type of transparencies to use, or where to get them at a decent price.

There are lots of options on Amazon. Sorry, I don't have a particular brand to recommend, as I buy a brand from a local print supply house. Just be sure to use the transparency or glossy paper setting for your laser printer. You might have to play with it a bit. I have better luck getting the darkest image with an inkjet.

You need transparencies specifically designed to use in a laser printer or photocopier so they will be able to withstand the heat of the bonding machine. I'm in the U.S. I use laser transparencies to make screen printing stencils for my brother when the design is too detailed to cut from film. The last time I bought some I believe it was from Office Max, item number OM96384. They were expensive, about $40 a box or so for 50 sheets, but they would probably work.

I know I picked up a pack at AC Moore or Michaels once. I'm sure you could find at any office supply store as well. I'm too lazy to mess with transparencies and usually opt for vellum. Good luck in your search!

I am in Ottawa, Ontario and I have bought transparency film for inkjet printers. I'm not sure if that would work for what your looking for? I use it for journaling. It's the Staples brand.

In the U.S. Walmart and Amazon carry them. I usually go by reviews as far as brand.
