I haven't actually asked her if the bathrooms are being cleaned better, but when she was home over midterm break we did talk about what is going on. It's not just their bathroom. Her friends live on the 1st floor and she said the bathrooms are nasty down there also. She commented that the housekeeping staff, who are not students, but hired to come in and clean this dorm building sit and watch tv in the lounges quite a bit. Sounds like they have their "shows', aka Days of our lives, Young and the restless, and get the cleaning done in between. HA. We talked about how she should handle it, what she is doing, and documenting what is going on. So she is on it! It sounds like the RAs need to earn they pay and get involved. That's nuts. So how many Peas have sent gloves and cleaning supplies in a care package to their college students?

In the summers at college I worked on a team that was responsible for painting dorm rooms. I worked with five guys. Every single afternoon the guys would find an empty dorm and take a nap. It pissed me off to no end. I never did and kept working. My boss realized it towards the end of the summer. I got a good recommendation from that boss for my next job thankfully.

This. Come on now. She is a grown person. She does not need her mommy to complain about a dirty toilet. If in a few years she has a job and the office toilets are gross, would you call her office management for her?
She can address the situation herself. If it bothers her enough, she can clean it in the mean time.

As someone who is working with a generation of young adults whose parents took helicopter parenting to new levels, I can tell you the answer to your question is a resounding yes.
