Ok, I'm not a prude. I don't have a problem with this store and normally I don't have an issue with their window displays. The store in our mall (not sure if they are all like this yet) has pictures in their windows that are larger than life. Ok, no biggy. I was at the mall today and they had one that I really found issue with. The model had on a lingerie set that was kind of lacy and I think the panties had some garter belts on them. But what I had issues with was the panties had a hole cut out right on the front of her whoha and you can clearly see she was trimmed up (or should I say completely shaved). This is a link to it what it looks like. This isn't the exact image but this is the collection - linkI just think this particular ad does not belong in a public place. Maybe located somewhere inside the store but not in the hallway area that everyone is walking. Am I wrong?

It's hard to say without seeing the exact picture.
But for me the pic you linked to doesn't seem that racy for VS. the triangle opening is pretty high up and I wouldn't expect a young woman to have hair that far up. I think it's more just changing generational grooming standards.

That little cut out seems kind of high (in my opinion) to show anything. I've definitely seen some risqué ads and catalogs and think this one is fairly mild in comparison.

Like I said, I don't have an issue with the ad itself. It's that it was showcased in a predominantly public place. The model and ad that was on the window made the opening look a lot lower than this is showing.

I'll sit next to you on your bench. I hate the in-your-face oversexualization especially in a public place. But we tend to be a minority I am afraid.

Not something that should be plastered on the front window IMHO. I bet they have a lot of guys hanging around and gawking

I wouldn't like it either. But then I really don't like any of VS advertising campaigns. I've been known to change the channel when their ad comes on and when we go to the mall (a couple times a year. it's a drive for us) we take a route that doesn't take us right past VS's window displays.
I don't know why I need to say this, but I don't try and hide things from my kids otherwise. I don't make a point of detouring around the lingerie section of stores or anything. I don't think my kids need to be protected from the very view of underwear. I just don't like how VS advertises it. It's so sexualized. Like the only reason women were underwear at all is so men can be turned on by it. It's feels degrading and chauvinistic, not empowering at all.

Some of us are naturally less hairy so I don't know I'd make that an issue. Or a judgement about a grooming habit.
But feel free to slam away at their larger than life scantily clad images. They've been over the top for a long time -

I am not a fan of VS...but I don't see that as being any worse than anything else they do.
I just can't get past how uncomfortable it looks

The santa at our mall is one of the most popular ones to visit in Pittsburgh (he is "magical" or the real santa as many parents say). The line is huge and can take almost 2 hours sometimes. It wraps around right in front of the victoria secrets and their huge window displays. It always seems a little weird to me. I never notice any other time though...

I find it ugly as crap. But that's just me. Yes, thank you! I thought the same thing. I also expected the cutout to be far lower down, with the higher placement I wouldn't even bat an eye at that ad.

Ugly and uncomfortable looking for sure, but the cut-out doesn't bother me.

I'm not a VS fan myself, but I don't have any issue with the pictures. As underwear models, I assume that those girls are plucked, shaved, and waxed in areas I can only imagine. And honestly... Would you rather see hair sticking out??

I'm usually on the side of feeling like most ads/photos/promotions are far too sexual, but those underwear aren't really any more revealing than typical underwear being modelled.

I actually think it's super cute! If I didn't have a midsection that grew four kids, I'd be tempted to buy it! It's definitely recreational lingerie, and not wear-to-the-grocery-store stuff.

I am not judging her for being trimmed up or whatever. My point in that was that was how far down it appeared on her in the ad that you could tell that.

the panties had a hole cut out right on the front of her whoha and you can clearly see she was trimmed up (or should I say completely shaved). Women under the age of 30 are all bald down there so it's no shocker.

We used to like the one at Northway Mall about 8 years ago, and they let you take pictures with your own camera.

I like it too it's fun and definitely 'have it on when the husband gets home from work' type stuff. I have to say though, that cut out is no where near her whoha.
