Well I'm getting old. Unless one still has -teen at the end of their age, I don't like glitter. I don't like the black-tipped nails I've been seeing. I don't like holiday decorated nails, which look as ridiculous to me as those ugly Christmas sweaters. Tacky all. At most, a single nail on one hand with bling is acceptable. As I said, I'm getting old. I plan to get glittery and wilder as I get older.

I have nothing on at the moment, but I plan on painting them later. I will probably do them in Sally Hansen's Black and Blue. It is a really pretty blue, purple, green, black iridescent polish.

You'd be surprised at how many older women love when I have glittery nails. Maybe more of them wish they wouldn't be judged for having glittery nails while no longer having "teen" on the end of their age. What a bummer to have to limit fun to age 19. I get you, to a point, about what things look better on younger women, but nail polish isn't something with limits IMO. Awww...sorry if I hurt your feelings. I'm sure you look very nice in your sparkly polish. It's just not for me. Hurt my feelings? Are you familiar with me at all? Not even remotely likely, ma'am. But not every old lady feels like you do, is my point.

I love your sparkly nails I think you are never too old to have fun nails so if you want holiday themed nails then get them! I posted the other day that I have gel nails with sparkle in the white part ... they are longer than I usually have them so I refer to them right now as my "hooker nails"

Switched it up to something a bit more neutral today (or what passes for neutral for me, lol). China Glaze Change Your Altitude (grey), My Lodge Or Yours (mauve), Zoya Tomoko (gold Pixie Dust). Love these threads! Now off to work out

I have You Don't Know Jacques gel on my fingers. Nothing on my toes at the moment - I should paint them tonight.

Love your color choices.

Love these threads! Now off to work out I'm loving those two China glaze shades! They go together beautifully! I have You Don't Know Jaques on my fingers as well, but they need to be redone, so I'm going to do something Haloween-y....I'm just not sure what I can manage. Off to Pinterest...

Nothing right now, I've got very lazy about doing my nails (I blame too many nights working late ) and my cuticles aren't in great condition either. I really want to get back to painting them regularly, I've got a bunch of gorgeous untried polishes waiting for me. I *think* I'm either going to wear ILNP Maiden Lane or Femme Fatale Her Imperial Majesty next, but don't hold me to that

Pointer is a L'oreal jelly, ring is Butter London Bramble, the others are OPI L.A.M.B., the glitter is Crows Toes VooDoo. Kind of just a fun Halloween-ish mani I did while watching a movie. Thanks for listing the colors you use!

For all you Zoya lovers, go to their site. They're doing a BOGO on their fall colors right now.

Sigh. I have a color combo for my nails/ring finger that I love, but I am still struggling with almost immediate chips/peeling (within 24 hours, sometimes 12). No matter what I do, no matter how clean my nails are, or if they are smooth or roughed up. I have even tried the CND Stickey and several top coats, plus I started wearing rubber gloves any time I clean.

I am always having to clean or do something that will mess them up. I would pay a lot for a polish that doesn't chip!

I had my nails done so nicely for a stint as a bridesmaid the morning of the wedding. By the time we got to the church they were so horribly chipped I wished I hadn't done them! I bought a light and all the stuff to do my own gel polish at home. I spent about $60 total to get started and haven't looked back. I do my nails on Tuesdays typically and I horseback ride every Friday and Sunday. I go to work, I do my cleaning with chemicals and all my household chores. I have yet to chip a nail. Totally worth it and there are some really neat colors and effects you can do with gel.

Nothing right now. One fingernail chipped, another broke/split so I decided to cut down all my nails to matching lengths. TFS the names of polishes and photos...it gives me some ideas for my next mani/pedi.

I bought a generic light from ebay, it was $35. I bought the Gelish ph Bond, base coat and top coat. I like those items a lot but I find that I do not like the formula Gelish uses for their colors. I prefer colors from IBD Just Gel, Lechat, Gelaze, and now Madam Glam.

I open up threads here where the OP is sharing something they made or a new haircut that isn't my style, and I would never post that it is ugly or tacky, that's just rude and mean spirited.

I can't do the trendy eyes and lips, but I can still experiment with my nails. I can only afford basic mani/pedis, so the nail art is out, but I'd go for it if I could. (I have zero skill at polishing my own nails.) I just got my nails done today. On my toes, I chose OPI Making Waves: The dress code for work says subtle colors only. So, my hand have OPI Chocolate Shakes-peare. (I didn't know I still had it.)

I'm still wearing nudes. I have some new darker fall colors but can't seem to make the switch over. Maybe because it's still in the mid 80s here. Right now I'm wearing Gelish Tan My Hide. It's a very pale tan with a hint of pink. I'm going to wear From Rodeo to Rodeo Drive next, also from the Gelish Urban Cowgirl collection.

I don't have anything on my nails right now. We have our costume contest at work on Thursday, so I plan on getting mine done Wednesday after work. I'll be doing purple and lime green for ring fingers (i'm dressing up as the original Joker). I wish I had the talent to paint my own nails. It really looks like a 3 years old painted them if I did it myself

I've got Essie's Bordeaux on both fingers and toes right now. I don't always have them the same but I had the one bottle of polish and didn't feel like walking to the other side of the bathroom to get another! It's a new color for me, a bit darker than I usually wear, but I like it.

I have on Red Carpet Manicure in Perfect High Heels. It's a glittery/subtle blue color. Looks like an ocean blue. It's a gel polish and I try to leave it on for a week before taking it off. It will last 2 weeks but I get bored with the color lol.
I like the holiday nails just not on me:) or if I do it's a simple color with no designs.

Essie's "In the Cab-ana" on my toes and "the Lace is on" on my fingers. I'd like to make a New Year's resolution to try gel polishes . I admire all the photos and the glitzy nails. I try to compliment beautiful and creative manicures when I notice them on other people because mine are so simple.
