What is your experience for finding the best price on a new cell phone. We are with Verizon, but no longer on contracts. Is it possible to buy a cell from some other place and then connect with your own carrier?

I have purchased phones off Ebay and connected them to my Verizon account no problem. Be sure to ask if it's compatible with Verizon.

I did that recently. Now that the new business plans at the cell phone companies have you purchase phones at full price.
I bought an unlocked verizon phone and have at&t service. I do have an issue with not being able to text pictures. Otherwise the phone works fine. I guess sprint and verizon use the same network.
I would be careful of that.

We get our phones at Sam's Club when it is time for upgrades. Paid .96 for my S4 a year ago. It is not the latest and greatest, but it works for me. We have a very old Sprint plan that we intend to keep until the tell us no. It is pretty much unlimited everything except anytime minutes, which never get used because the plan has free mobile to mobile minutes.
