I'm trying to figure out what color to use in my home office. In my last house it was apple green. I liked that. But I'd like to try something new this time. I have a white ikea expedit bookcase on one wall - 5 across by 4 high. And a maple laminate/silver based desk. So really any color would work with the existing furnishings. What color is your home office/craft room painted? I'd love to see pictures too. I work from home, so I'm in there 4-6 hours a day. It's in the basement, but there are double french walkout doors on one wall, plus two well-sized windows. So I get lots of sunlight. I've used Benjamin Moore colors in the rest of the house, so if you have a BM color to suggest, that's even better .

Benjamin Moore Atrium White. I'd rather bring in color with window treatments, furniture or accent pieces. They are cheaper, faster and easier to switch out than paint.

Benjamin Moore white sand. Also a basement, but not nearly as much light as it sounds like you have... Jealous of that!

Mine is rainwashed by Benjamin Moore with white furniture. I have several galvanized metal and dark wire baskets as accents and in my Expedit. I'm going to do gray curtains. Still looking for artwork, etc.

A very pale violet, SW Wishful Blue. This is a pretty crappy picture, but it does show the wall color.

White! I don't like the reflections messing with color selection in my sewing/craft room. I also have daylight bulbs in all the lights/lamps for the same reason.

Now you need to understand that I'm sharing this with you for a laugh, NOT because I think you should do anything like this!! Back in the day, when I used to scrapbook, I decided to paint the wall in my scrap room to look like a particular piece of SEI paper. I think I may have even stolen the idea from a Pea back on the old board. It was very cool back then all those years ago, but I should really repaint it now, it's SO out of date! (I have to admit though, it was fun taking the sheet of paper to the paint store and picking out all the paints to match.) I think that if I repainted I would go with all white (the rest of my scrap room / study is "Antique White USA") or - funnily enough - pale apple green!

Sherwin Williams Rainwashed. Love it. SW Sea Salt is nice too. I'm about to paint that in our small office. Already have it in bedrooms

Seahawks blue and green (we moved in the week before the Seahawks played in the Superbowl in 2006--they were on my mind!). Darker navy blue on the bottom 1/3 of the wall; a ~2 inch stripe of the bright lime green, then the remainder of the wall is the blueish grey color (old Seahawks colors)..

Nothing too creative here. Mine is an off-white color, not very creative and I couldn't tell you the name of the paint color; but we live on a wooded lot and I need all the light reflection I can get. So desk, table, shelving, storage furniture are all white. Accessories are in various shades of blue.

Behr Tahitian Breeze (sold at Home Depot). It's a beautiful robin's egg or tiffany blue. I also have white Ikea furniture in the space and it really pops against the color. I love the color so much it's also in my kitchen, office, living room and master bathroom.

Mine is a dark, sage type green. I use it more as an office than a craft room and while I do like the color I didn't realize how little light would get in the room when I painted it. One of these days, if I don't move, I will be repainting it a lighter color.

Mine is a teal color, Love it. Curtains are chocolate colored. There is enough grey in the teal to make it almost neutral. I love having color on my walls after almsot 40 years of only white walls in every place we ever lived.
