DD asked for a camera that takes great video, she needs one for video audition submissions and has been borrowing cameras to do so. Her iphone isn't good enough quality. I'm thinking an SLR camera? She already has a good mic. We are hoping to keep it under $400. Anyone have a suggestion?

I love the video on my Canon G16. Not sure what it is running now. Was in the 400's I believe.

Most of the video quality on point and shoot cameras are excellent these days. We have a Panasoinic LUMIX and it is fabulous. I really don't think you need and SLR to get really good quality video.
