What would you like to have?
I can think of three things:
- I had an awesome hand knit poncho. It was baby pink, baby blue, and white with big pom poms on the end of the ties. I think my great-grandma knit it for me. Every time I see someone wearing a poncho with the new trends, I think of that poncho. It was so 70s!
- A pair of Hee Haw overalls. They had cartoons and quotes from the show all over them on a navy blue background. I was about 8 when I had them.
- My jelly shoes from when I was a teen.
I still do have my Swatch watch. The plastic in the band has aged and cracked, but I put it into one of my scrapbooks.

Not so much from my childhood, but my late teens. My then-boyfriend went halves with me on a pair of high heeled white leather boots for my 18th birthday in 1985. They were awesome boots! I wish I had kept them just for fancy dress parties.
(Not that I go to a lot of fancy dress parties, but you never know......!)

Oh gosh so many things! I would love to have some of the crocheted items my mom made for me; ponchos and vests like the one below. I didn't think that much of them then but would love them now. I would also love to have this pair of overalls I had that had wacky package pictures all over them. Does anyone remember wacky package stickers from the 70s? They took regular product names and changed them into something funny, usually kind of gross. Here's an example below. My overalls had these all over them: Third one is tough. I had these Bass flat sandals that I LOVED. They were so basic, but they lasted forever and made me so happy. I think part of it was that I saw them in Seventeen magazine. They were the first expensive pair of shoes I owned and I paid for them with my own money. My best friend thought I was nuts. She thought they were plain and not worth the money. So it would probably be those. Either that or my two-zipper jeans. I had a couple of pairs of those that I loved back in the day.

I still have my hippy skirt that I wore in 1968. It's dark brown suede, wrap around with fringe and is about 12" long, lol.

I had those bass sandals too! Loved them!
I wish I had my Frye boots which I accidentally donated.
My fair isle sweaters in good condition. I think I still have them but they have moth holes.
I had a lot of Lacoste clothes. Wish I still had them.
All of this reminds me of a good period in my life.

I actually have 10-12 outfits my grandmother made for me...some gingham dresses with cross stitch borders..sweaters she knit. I have my GS sash..though I regret getting rid of my "greenies" from high school (GS camp uniforms). I have a few things from my dh's childhood..and baptism outfits from my childhood too.

I had a dress/shirt that had a city skyline on it when I was in kindergarten that I'd love to have. I'd also love to still have one of my school uniforms (hated them back then, lol). A couple of other memorable things are my charlies angels red pants, my red leather flats from Italy, and my colorful jacket (it was navy with different color pockets, I have a picture of myself wearing it somewhere.

My flower girl dress from my aunts wedding. I would love to rip it up and make something fun with it. My mom threw everything away. She oh keeps things that she thinks had value.

My awesome velour v neck shirts. Being a child of the 70's the clothes were pretty bad. My teenage clothes (80's) were much better. I loved my grey Guess jeans jacket and my Genera sweaters. I did have an awesome black rayon kind of wide pleated skirt with little stick figure kids all over it with it French writing on it I loved too. I wore it with a white cotton crop top and my LJ Simone shoes, I felt so cute in that outfit! I was just thinking the other day I wish I still had my pullover plaid marsupial coat from the GAP I would have bought in the early 90's. It was so comfy, perfect weight, waterproof, it was my most favorite coat. I miss marsupial jackets in general.

I want the shirt I had senior year that said "Go to hell world, I'm a senior." I want to add citizen to the end and wear it when I'm old. LOL

jackie I had those same sandals and I LOVED them too! One of my dogs chewed them up and destroyed them. I was sooo mad! Most of my clothes were either super ugly, super old handmedowns from my much older sisters or they were very basic things my mom sewed for me so not too much stands out. I still have one of the childhood things that I loved, a little red bib front leather dress from Germany that my aunt brought back from a trip there. I always wanted to put it on DD for Christmas pictures but she wasn't the right size when it was the right season for it. The other thing I wish I still had was a bright green embroidered dirndl that my aunt brought back for me on another trip. I probably was about four when that one fit me and I have a pic of me sitting on Santa's lap wearing it. The Guess? jeans I wore in high school? I wore those literally to shreds.

I was an 80's kid so my jellies, jam shorts, herache(?) shoes, Guess t-shirt with the puffy paint, and hyper color t-shirt!! Some sentimental items that grandmothers or other relatives made for me. A sweater with rainbow hearts across the chest. Knitted slippers. Hand-sewn Easter dress.

Oh, dear. I am embarrassed to admit which 80's clothing I still have in my closet. I did wear my 1985 Reckless tour t-shirt to the 30 year Reckless tour show I attended. And I still bought the concert shirt at that show. I love all my concert t-shirts.

I still have a lacy pink slip that I wore when I was 6. I remember when I got it because it was the first one that wasn't plain. It has a big ruffle around the bottom. I'm not sure how it survived all of these years!

A Khaki bush jacket with tons of pockets and a wide belt. My beloved Dad bought me a real one as we went camping and fishing every single weekend. It was far too big then and I could wear a cardigan under it when we sat out at the campfire at night. It was also rain-resistant. I bought a substitute one from Melvill and Moon a couple of years ago, just before they discontinued making "real" (as opposed to fashionable) safari wear.

I still remember wearing some of my Mum's 60's dresses as dress up clothes, high heels etc. One billowed out when you twirled, and seemed to be made of yards and yards of material, it was fab. I ran up and down the stairs loads of times to see the material woosh out.
Those outfits I would have liked to have kept, don't know what happened to them.

Wait, you mean I was suppose to throw that stuff out? I am a clothes collector (hoarder). I have wedding dresses from my grandmothers, clothes from the 20's through the 70's and I even saved a few favorites from my girls. I saved silky shirts/dresses from the disco era with the platform wood sole shoes, my sisters mini skirts and some pieces my mom or I made. My kids have worn a number of pieces. I do wish I still had my double zipper jeans but I wore them out and a scooter skirt jumper my mom made. It was bright pink print with the flaps front and back over the short part. I wore it to death.

I still have my one item.
A t-shirt from a band I like, that I brought in 1982...it's a little snug, but it still fits.

My mother made a lot of my dresses as a young girl. She later made me a cathedral window quilt that used all of those different materials in it. We have sat down several times with the quilt and reminisced over various outfits.
The summer I turned 13, I bought a royal purple crushed velvet bikini with gold rings in the center of the top and on either side of the tiny little bottom. I felt so grown up and amazing in that bikini. I wore it so much, I'm pretty sure I wore most of the fuzziness off the velvet. Ha!

I had a tshirt with an applique of a fox and the word "foxy". I loved that shirt (even though thinking about it now it wasn't exactly appropriate for a 5th grader with developed breasts). "Foxy" in 1975 would be the equivalent of "sexy" "hot" nowadays.

There is one thing I saved. My Granny knitted a beautiful sweater had I been born a boy. I saved it for DS when he was a baby but it was too big and then too small. It is ivory and pale blue. It is so beautiful and has a matching bonnet. That is all that was saved from when I was a baby.

I wish I had saved my brown suede fringe jacket and the floppy fringe hat that matched.
An army jacket (that was probably a shirt) that was from a family friend while he served in Vietnam. I think I literally wore it out.
Any of many of the ponchos my grandma crocheted for me.

The crotched granny square vests my mother and grandmother made, the denim shirt my mother with flowers embroidered on the yoke, Levi jean jacket and the awesome leather purse hand tooled with flowers. Also the figure to wear said clothes.
