I went to lunch with a friend today & her husband called her twice. I don't speak to mine on the phone (sits too close to co-workers) but we text once mid-day. Just wondering what everyone else does.

If one of us calls the other then it is most likely an emergency. But we text each other a few times per day. The only time we talk on the phone is when one of us is out of town.

Usually never unless it's really important or an emergency. He's too hard to get a hold of anyway...he's usually in meetings and I never know what time they are, so I hate to bother him.

Almost never except sometimes to say things like "if you want burger buns for dinner could you stop at 7-11 and get some?" lol. Sometimes if I've had a small lunch and I'm starving I'll call to find out what time he thinks he'll be home, because if it's late then I'll eat before he gets home. Otherwise I'll have a snack and wait for him. But he's too busy so he doesn't have a lot of time to chat. I do text him sometimes but he's not much of a texter and doesn't always reply until he gets home. Then he'll say "oh I got your text" and then answer whatever my question was. lolol.

Well, we don't live together, so it's not uncommon for him to call me on the way to work and the way home from work and sometimes he texts me mid-day if he's on break or running an errand or grabbing lunch or something.

Almost never during the day (unless it's an emergency). We both have jobs that don't allow for a lot of down time. I hate to interrupt him at work.

I usually call him when I'm on my way home from work. If either of us needs something, we text.

Dh works from home most of the time so I talk to him more than I'd like to Seriously, he holes up in his office and I see him every time he surfaces to eat or go to an appointment (he's a realtor) ... If he's out of the house I only talk to him once to see when he'll be home for dinner

I literally can't even remember the last time I talked to DH on the phone. We both absolutely despise talking on the phone.

I homeschool our kids and he works from home, so we see and talk to each other a lot during the day. However, if he's in his office, I rarely interrupt him as he's often on the phone with customers or colleagues. I text him to let him know lunch is ready and that's about it.
When we both worked away from home, we would text each other once a day to say I love you, or let the other know we were on our way home. But we almost never called each other.

Hubby has a trainee, so we try to touch base once a day. That's the norm...unless I need something and vice versa.

Very rarely do we talk on the phone. An email or a text maybe once a day.

We only talk if there's something particular going on. We text more readily, because he knows I'll read it between classes (schedule is different every day on a 6-day rotation; he would never be able to remember when I have prep!) I guess we probably text once or twice a day, but it's usually something about who is picking up what kid, or what time we're coming home (his afterschool schedule is almost as complicated as my in-school one). I had a stressful meeting today, so he texted to see how it went. He's a sweetheart that way.

We have a home office so we talk all the time. He just said to say hi.

He works 5 min. from home so he is home for lunch every day. So unless we need to ask the other an important question we just talk at lunch. When he is out of town for work, we speak every day or every other day.

DH is long gone before the rest of us get up so he'll often call to say hi when he gets a chance in the morning and then again when he is heading home. If he is driving between jobs during the day, I might get a third call.

We text a few times a day just to say hello, how's your day, what's new... We almost never call each other, though I actually seldom call anyone.

At least once a day. Sometimes 5 or 6 times a day. It just depends what's going on. We text and email periodically too. He calls me 90% of the time because I never know when his meetings are scheduled so I only call if I have something that can't wait until he checks in.
So today for example, we talked twice, emailed twice and texted twice. Pretty typical.

We rarely text or call during the work day....maybe once or twice a week. Neither job allows us much time for that.
We usually text or call at some point after I am done with work to check in and see what we are doing with the kids/for dinner/errands/when we will be home.

He calls every afternoon when he takes his lunchbox to his car. He also texts when he's on his way home, because he varies departure times daily. I rarely text him because his sound is always off, so it's pointless.

SO and I txt about 3 to 4 times a day. We don't really call each other. We're not big on the talking on the phone.

At most we'll text 1-2 times per day, and it's usually for information-sharing (evening plans, etc.). We don't talk on the phone during the day. There's no time and really no need.

we might text once or twice if there's a reason to (like if I have to go to the grocery store), and I might call him when I'm headed home, but that's it.

Almost never unless he ends up having a short day and is home early, then I talk to him in person. I would only call him if it was a dire emergency. If I have a question that needs an answer, I'll text (I do his bookkeeping) but even that is rare. He can't really take frivolous phone calls when he's at work, and most of the things I need to tell him can wait until he's home.

If he's working out of his home office we talk on the phone at least once a day and text 2-3 times. If he's traveling we talk at least 2 times a day, sometimes 3, and text 4 times.

Maybe a call or text 2-3 times a week. He works in a high security area where he's not allowed to bring his phone, so we can only talk if he's out for lunch, and I don't like to call in on their landline unless it's an absolute emergency.

very rarely unless we have something we need to coordinate. He's with patients most of the day, so I don't bother him unless it's necessary.
