pics of each item on page 2 because AussieMeg is a sticky beak I've mentioned before about a group of online friends I've been with since we were pregnant posting on babycenter 18 years ago. A few of the girls surprised me in a wonderful way by showing up at Fred's funeral service. Today a few of them came to visit. It was a sweet time although the conversation didn't start flowing comfortably until we went to dinner. There's just something about food! LOL But listen to this. They gave me a gift. First this box - a pandora bracelet with a heart, which I didn't realize at first has a picture of me and Fred. Then a card signed by 19 people! It made its way all over the country, NJ to CA, TX to RI to MI, SC to MO and I don't remember where else, plus a detour to Canada! There are personal notes and cards inside from each one, which I will read when ds10 goes to bed. Then a larger box with a dozen more charms. Each one has a note explaining why she chose that particular charm. This is representative of each one There is a legend with a photo and description of each charm, the sentiment behind it and who gave it. Here is the bracelet with most of the charms. For some reason a few didn't fit so I put them on my necklace. ETA A Google search showed me how to thread the charms onto the bracelet. It was all so sweet and very overwhelming. They've been working on this since June and it took til now To get it to me but it was at just the right time. Two days ago last year was the day my dad went to ICU and died 9 days later. It was also the day fred first went to the doctor to find out what was wrong with him. So perfect timing. We have been through a lot together over the years. I'm just overwhelmed in such a good way.

That is the sweetest thing ever! You are very blessed You are so right. And I know it. And you know it's not about the bracelet. it's about what it represents.

You have very dear friends who truly love and care about you. You would be there for them in a minute if needed and that is why you have such lovely friends. You draw them to you w/your positive spirit and compassionate nature. So there!

How wonderful!
I, too, have been blessed by friends I've met online. Carolina71 is a dear friend of mine and an amazing pea. You've been such an encouragement to me as well--even when you were going through everything with Fred. When I'd send you messages to encourage you, I wound up being encouraged as well.
I haven't felt well for the past few months and haven't been as outgoing as I should have been, but I have been thinking about you and praying for you even when I haven't told you specifically.
I hope you continue to heal and am so thrilled to hear how you're paying it forward and helping other people. Encouraging others winds up helping the encourager as well. God knew what he was doing when he told us in the New Testament that we should get together in fellowship and help other Christians. It's so much easier to deal with the stresses of life when you share those burdens with others. Your joys are also sweeter when you have friends to share those with as well.

What an amazing and thoughtful gift, you have some wonderful on-line (now IRL!) friends. I might sound like a sticky beak, but I would really love to see more of the charms and learn their significance. So sweet!
